If he wins a third title in dominant fashion again, does he enter top tier all time territory?
When you break down his numbers it’s honestly pretty wild
.858 winning %
9-2 in Bowls
5-1 in CFP (Lone loss being a walk off TD in OT)
6 Division Championships
Has not lost a regular season game since November 2020 vs Florida
His only flaw thus far would be his inability to beat his mentor Saban but then again if that’s your only flaw, you’re doing ok.
I always knew Kirby was good and Georgia was legit but when you sit back and look at this run, it’s honestly super impressive.
I guess all those years of torture were worth it dawgs fans. Enjoy your run because man it’s something.

Agreed, we’re living in the golden age of UGA football as fans right now. It’s pretty wild, and I’m just trying to enjoy the ride.
The only thing that worries me is Kirby getting burned out by the nature of the game right now. Hard to feel sorry for coaches making millions, but it sounds like an exhausting grind navigating NIL, the portal, staff turnover, and non-stop recruiting (even your own players).

Correct me if I’m wrong here but Kirby seems to be keeping up with the times and does not lose a lot of guys to the portal like other big programs. The kids seem to buy in and are willing to be a part of their program long term.
One of the rare things these days.

You’re not wrong. I think Kirby is very clear with recruits regarding things like NIL and the portal. Georgia is willing to spend NIL money on recruits at very specific positions (primarily OL/DL and maybe DB). We typically don’t get into bidding wars for RB, WR and QB recruits (see JuJu Lewis as just one example). We tend to get those through the portal. He’s done an unreal job at building the culture in Athens as well.
Regarding the portal, Kirby has said if a player wants to enter the portal, he’s ok with that. We will replace you.

Even in hair… UGA has stressed him out so much, his hair is grayish white now!

Ahead of dye, fulmer and meyer. Barely behind spurrier. Certainly behind bear and saban.

That's cuz the Dawgs play in a Charmin soft division.

As unlikeable as the guy is, Meyer has 3 titles at two different schools. And bcs victory at then g5 Utah whose current success is largely based on Meyer. I would say he is ahead of spurrier and ahead of Kirby(for now at least)

Really? Because I think if UGA and Bama switched divisions UGA would have the same record.
They beat the #2 SEC West team last year (Ole Miss) by a score of 52-17.
They beat the #1 SEC West team the year before (LSU) by a score of 50-30 and the #3 SEC West team that year (MSU) by a score of 45-19.
They beat the #3 SEC West team in 2021 (Arkansas) by a score of 37-0.
UGA hasn't exactly struggled with the SEC West other than Alabama during their run. Let's not give the western division credit for things that only Bama has done.

National championships aren't the be-all-end-all. Both Spurrier and Meyer changed the way the game was played in the SEC. I also don't think Spurrier's success in Columbia can be overlooked either.

Wait a second here. During Kirby’s run, he got smacked by LSU in 18 & 19
However he got revenge in 22 vs a depleted LSU team.

Can you expound on that a bit?
Is it the DUIs, reckless driving arrests?…

Saban lite, and that's not a knock. He's really good.

The run we're talking about is the undefeated regular season streak Kirby has going.
That started after a loss to UF in 2020.
The statement was made that Kirby only has that run because UGA was in the east. The reality is that if UGA and Bama switched places, UGA still would have the same streak. UGA's not just beaten teams at the top of the SEC west in that stretch, they've dominated them.
Yes, if UGA switched places with Auburn, would they have a tougher time? Of course. But that's because they'd be playing Bama every year. If they switched places with Bama they'd have no tougher a time than they had in the East the last 3 seasons.

Not regularly beating saban is every coach in America's flaw the last 16 years. People (not necessarily you OP) seem to think this is somehow just a Kirby problem.

What? Accomplishment wise he’s definitely not ahead of Meyer and he’s slightly ahead of Spurrier depending on how you look at the success. This is just recency bias. There’s a LOT of it here regarding UGA.
Accomplishment wise, he’s pretty even with Dabo Swinney who had 4 CFP experiences in 5 years and 2 natties. Dabo might go down as one of the all time greats, I doubt it, but maybe. But no one is talking about Dabo anymore because his schtick wore off in 2020. Like with UGA, they were anointing themselves blue bloods before LSU laid a beat down on them and Dabo’s lil ole Clempson routine was officially dead. shite can change really fast.
The fact is that UGA, as far as recent accomplishments go, is slightly behind 08 Florida, they had 2 in 3 years and 3 in 12 years or so. But that was 15 years ago so you forgot how good Urban Meyer was.
