The SEC took away the Friday/Saturday after Thanksgiving Arkansas-LSU matchup in favor of Arkansas/Missouri and gave LSU Texas 8&4. OK, kinda get that. There is a 60 plus game history there.
Now the SEC has taken away the LSU/8&4 matchup in favor of UT/8&4 and has given LSU...Oklahoma??? A total of three games between the two schools in the history of college football. On "rivalry" weekend? Wow.

Nobody cares enough about LSU to call them a rival.

I enjoyed Arkansas/LSU. Arkansas wrecked a bunch of LSU seasons and the game always meant something.
If I had to choose a rival, the Piggies are always a good choice.

Me too! I miss that LSU-Arkansas game, I don't give two shits about playing Missouri.

Tulane bounced.
But for some reason LSU doesn't want to play them anymore. I don't know the story on that.

I'd be pissed were I an LSU fan. Total disrespect by BHam. They've always had it in for LSU. BHam treats LSU like the red-headed step child.
Traditional old rivalries had to be honored during Rivalry Weekend.
Ole Miss - MSU
UGA - GaTech
Bama - Auburn
SC - Clemson
KY - Louisville
UF - FSU
UT - Vandy
A&M - UTa
But ...
Arkansas - Mizzou has big potential. (Border Wars matter. 15 games including two bowl games ... 10 in a row since the 2012 expansion!)
LSU - Oklahoma has big potential too. (They've played three times, all bowls. 1950 Sugar Bowl, 2004 Sugar Bowl, 2019 Peach Bowl.) They could learn to hate one another. I mean ... who doesn't hate LSU these days, except LSU fans, amirite? That's one half of the rivalry requirement right there.
This is all gonna work out just fine.
100 years from now the LSU-OK game will be legend.

I miss Arky-LSU also. It was an annual trip for me, be it in BR, LR, or Fayetteville. 99% of the fans were nice, only one I had issue with was that drunk POS that parked next to me on the golf course near War Memorial.

All this type of discussion needs to be placed on Tiger Rant. This is not an LSU specific board that you are posting on.
Please stop creating off-topic threads. It isn't hard to take the extra step and just think for a moment about where your post may or may not belong.

$10mm a year for this and th highest paid assistants, all whille being the worst flagship academic school in the SEC. So bad for my state.

From a comparison of academics you should be playing ULL.

Tulane doesn’t want to play LSU unless it’s a home and home. LSU doesn’t want to lose the revenue of a home game every other year.

Good. It shows on the scoreboard every year.

LSU got what they deserved. Even a shark fricker can agree with that.

Lsu-ok could develop into a really good rivalry if you give it time. Ignore how bad Oklahoma was this year they will rebound they always do.

Be careful you lost to Bama by 40 points you need a rival in the worst way .

We have humoured these cajuns for years but that's just it
they're cajuns
not southerners
they should be playing other non southerners like oklahoma.
Missouri has always been a dixie state.
St. Louis is well known as a southern city and they even grow cotton in Missouri.

You're slightly better than mizzou, but only because of the 70s, which was 50+ years ago.
