All times Eastern; Rankings reflect highest among major polls

Schedule
Little Rock at #4 Arkansas – 6 p.m. [SECN]

There are 4 weekends left, but If the season ended today, this would be the bracket in Hoover.

Texas = UT
confirmed

Also, in the OP..

A&M vs Florida Path
Win
Vanderbilt vs their Friday starter
Tennessee vs their Friday starter
Texas or X vs maybe their Saturday starter
LSU or Arkansas or Y vs maybe their Sunday starter

Kentucky vs State Path
Win
Georgia
LSU
Arkansas
Texas or Tennessee

Auburn vs Missouri Path
Win
Ole Miss
Texas
Tennessee
Arkansas or LSU

Alabama's Path
SC
OU (Witherspoon)
Arkansas
LSU
Texas or Tennessee

That's just brutal for all of those last 8 seeds.

It's gonna be tough to win the SEC T if you aren't one of the Top 4, maybe Top 8 seeds.

D1 Baseball's latest field of 64.

The S-Curve for this once again absolutely hosing Alabama, who has a Top 10 RPI and ELO and has 30+ wins and a .500 record in the toughest conference in the country. A top 10 RPI and you are slotted behind roughly 25 teams below you and sent as the #2 seed to the region with the #2 overall seed? GTFOH Kendall.

RPI in parentheses (Bama record vs)

#12 Coastal Carolina (13) (1-0, neutral)
#13 Arizona (18)
#14 West Virginia (15)
#15 UCLA (20)
#16 TCU (17)
#17 Texas A&M (40) (3-0, road)
#18 Cal Poly (21)
#19 Oklahoma (27) (2-1, home)
#20 UC Irvine (14)
#21 Ole Miss (16)
#22 NC State (31) (1-0, neutral)
#23 Georgia Tech (29)
#24 Kentucky (26)
#25 Louisville (22)
#26 Oregon (53)
#27 Troy (37) (1-0, home)
#28 Virginia Tech (32)
#29 Wake Forest (24)
#30 Kansas (25)
#31 Alabama (10)

I mean that's absurd. Not to mention Alabama is 8-1 against the teams on that list.

Alabama is 3-6 vs the RPI Top 12 and 29-4 vs everyone else (including 8-1 vs teams seeded #12-30). And Kendall has them barely hanging on as a #2 seed. That's just a joke.

Thats pretty awesome. Honestly if true I am surprised Ut is that high on the list at ~7k per game, that must be tickets sold. If it is not bad for how many things you can do on a spring night in Austin.

Pairing us with Tech for yet another Athens regional is just so lazy. Send those fricks out west

IMO would be more compelling to send us NC State in a rematch from last years Supers and send Tech to Auburn

I think they actually did a really good job.

There are 6 West Coast teams that are a #1 or #2 seed. That's gonna get them 3 hosting spots most likely..

There are 4 Texas teams.. which is 2 hosting spots.

That leaves 11 other hosting spots and 22 teams.

As a reminder, once the hosts are determined, all of the #2 seeds are considered equal and moved around to create the best regional matchups.. Alabama as an example isn't #25 as you say.. they could be #17, but they slot best where they put them.. You have to also remember that SEC teams can't play SEC teams in regionals.. likewise, ACC teams can't either.. etc etc.

It really limits the spots that teams can be placed with 12 SEC teams listed as a #1 or #2.

So if you assume Texas teams get 2 and West Coast teams get 3.. here are the other 11.
2. Clemson
3. Arkansas vs 14. WVU
4. LSU
5. Tennessee vs 12. Coastal Carolina
6. FSU vs 11. Auburn
7. Oregon State vs 10. Georgia
8. Vanderbilt vs 9. UNC

ELO Rankings

1 Texas (1)
2 Clemson (2)
3 Arkansas (3)
7 LSU (4)
5 Tennessee (5)
8 Florida State (6)
4 Oregon State (7)
10 Vanderbilt (8)

6 North Carolina (9)
9 Georgia (10)
12 Auburn (11)
26 Coastal (12) this is another one I don't agree with, but they do have an RPI of 13
17 Arizona (13)
11 WVU (14)
38 UCLA (15) should have been 16 UC Irvine imo (both RPI's in the Top 20)
27 TCU (16) or 28 Dallas Baptist

SOG, you should put a bracket together for the #1 and #2 seeds and you will see some of what I'm saying.. plus I'd be interested in seeing the bracket you put together.

Probably has to do with location and interest more than anything. I would think they would try to milk as much money as they can out of the regionals and supers.

Well, they are still beating their chests about beating that shitshow and the downfall it caused. But you’re right, it’s all they have to brag about in anything I guess. I couldn’t care less about their baseball program, he’ll, they don’t care about it either…..
