The SEC has only 1 player in the MLB baseball hall of fame, can you name him?

The real question is, who will be the next one?

Joe Sewell was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977. Played baseball and football at Alabama from 1917-1919. Returned in 1964 as head coach. The stadium is partially named after him.

Unless you’re not counting him due to it predating the SEC.

Albert Belle would probably be in if he wasn't such an a-hole

I knew it had to be a Georgia boy. A Georgia boy was the first to be inducted into the MLB hall of fame as well.

I am not the MLB fan that I used to be, anyone know who is a possibility to be the 2nd player to make the HoF from the SEC?

I guess he wasn’t the 1 because he played at Alabama before there was an SEC. But does count for Alabama.

So would Rafael Palmiero if he didn’t lie to Congress.

Helton was close on votes, he might make it.

Todd Helton had 281 votes last ballot and was just 11 votes shy of making it. It was also his 5th year on the ballot.
