The Devin White Rule. So if the replay does not demonstrate that it was targeting (ie, if the video actually shows that he shoved the guy in the chest with his hands), the targeting call will be overturned.

Bad rule just got worse.

Terrible.

They were handed a perfectly logical proposal for an improvement to the rule with a Targeting 1 and Targeting 2 call. Targeting 1 was deemed illegal but incidental contact: 15 yard penalty, no ejection. Targeting 2 was illegal contact that was egregious and/or with intent. 15 yards, ejected and miss the next 2 quarters of football I think. It was a great improvement to an already questionable penalty.

So what did they do? Nothing but just go and frick it up worse than it already was.

Its literally like they heard everyone bitch about how bad the targeting rules are and said “Hold my beer”.

People who benefit from it will like it.

Everyone else who loves real football will recognize the bullshite this is...
