Interested to see how Patriots respond being the road team on Thursday after playing Sunday.

I didn’t mean on this board

Mac Jones was throwing to just Waddle and Smith in 2020 and Waddle was hurt halfway through the season.
We going to leave off arguably the best all around back Saban has had at Alabama? Harris is one of the best receiving backs I’ve seen in this league. Metchie is obviously a good receiver too

Tua in 2019 was having a better year than Burrow before his injury.
No he wasn’t.

Mac put up better numbers with an inferior product.
Mac had a better offensive system under 2nd year sark.
Tua had 3 coordinators in 3 years and we didn't commit to running the ball while Tua's was here - think our OCs got too enamored with all the weapons at WR and Tua talent and didn't try hard enough to establish a downhil run game personally.

Also right. Sarkisian is a much better OC than Loxsley and Daboll. He’s also a bona fide qb coach and they are not.

mac was better than tua in college. tua had jeudy, waddle, smith, and ruggs to throw to. mac had smith, metchie, slade bolden , and waddle for a couple games

How stupid was Saban not to see what some of you clearly do, that Mac was the better qb.

Also...it floors me that these three were on the same team at the same time. All of them were Heisman finalists and are now starting QBs in the NFL.

Amazing that all three were on teams that lost to LSU in one season.

Without the pure cupcakes on the schedule
Tua relied more on his raw talent. Mac relied more on learning and operating within the system in both college and his initial time in the pros.
That has been a large part of the difference.
If Tua stays healthy and becomes more of a student of the game to go along with his better natural physical talents, he could be a really good pro.
But, he hasn't shown to be able to do either with consistency. As such, Mac grew into a better overall QB in both college and the NFL, IMO

Tua doesn’t have the frame for the NFL like Mac does. He has a slight build. Mac is a big ol boy. They should call him Mac&Cheese

Yes he was. His rating was 206 in 2019 that year the highest of all-time. He didn't have enough attempts for it qualify.
He broke the record in 2018 with a 199 rating. Burrow broke that record in 2019 with 202 a rating. Mac Jones then broke that with a 203 rating in 2020.

You sure about that?

The difference between the two to me was always Tua having to make a play every snap. Mac doesn’t have the physical skills that Tua has but he’s better at reading defenses and then adjusting after his presnap read. He also takes what they’re giving. There a reason the offense ran better with him at the helm than Tua in my opinion. It wasn’t just quick strikes but a methodical beating of the defense.

Not very amazing at all but Hurts at Alabama was 2 of 3 vs Lsu, Tua was 2 of 3 and Mac was 3 of 4, so congratulations on that one year I guess
