This is crazy to me. No cap, no troll. That’s a wild number, considering how many highly ranked teams he’s had.

2-4 at LSU against top 10 teams, which is pretty strong.

Not all top 10 teams are created alike. Big difference between beating Bama with Nick Saban and winning a game against top 10 Oregon State.

Ahh yes. MetryMulkeyMaulerMan using the total wins argument. I'd expect nothing less.

Yeah, I will take that in a rebuild, with half of those games coming vs Saban and Smart.

Stoops was the craziest to me. I know Kentucky football doesn't have the loftiest expectations but I find it interesting that he has such a high fan approval rate with so few big wins over 12 years

Poor old Grinding Brian. He’s not a very good coach. But can he dance!

2 of those 6 wins came in 2012. (Michigan State and Oklahoma).
MSU ended up being way over ranked (finished 7-6) but in his defense Stanford finished in the top 10 but wasn't when they played them.

Those were technically vacated, so I'm not sure if OP included them or not.

When you coach at ND and your team is always highly ranked because you’re ND and play a soft schedule, going to result in a surprising looking record against top teams

5 of those 8 were to Alabama.

He's 18-3 (.857) against teams not named Alabama and 1-5 (.167) against Alabama. The other losses were to Auburn (#10, 2017), LSU (#2, 2019), and Florida (#8, 2020)

He also has a losing record against LSU (1-2) and a .500 record against Ole Miss (1-1) - but those 5 games only include 1 against a top 10 opponent.
