DeBoer’s 1st half was great. Phenomenal, actually. Second half? Not so much. You also have to add in the fact that UGA is hugely overrated this year. Beck was exposed for much of the game and DeBoer and crew knew exactly how to do that. They had the guy looking like a true freshman in his first game on the road for more than half the game. They definitely, definitely deserve credit for that.
But no one should be any more scared of DeBoer than anyone else they hire. Any one of the SEC schools with the money to spend is going to get whatever coach they want unless the coach doesn’t wanna do college.

UGA looked mortal for first time in about 3 years I’d say. They don’t look like same championship team they’ve been. At the same time though, only great teams have the sort of grit to come back 30-7 at half. Does that mean they’re championship level? Not necessarily but also says they’re not to just be dismissed either. Only championship level teams have the ability to face that adversity.
I’ll also say that the game probably did more for Beck than his first 18 games combined did. This was easily harshest environment he’d ever been in on the road. Like it or not Georgia fans, UGA didn’t really play anyone who was worth a shite on the road last season.
Georgia still has the players to make a run. They look far more vulnerable than they have in years tho I’ll say that.
