John Mateer is the QB for Wazzou which I guess means Arnold and/or Hawkins is gone.

OU boards saying this is the missing piece and already comparing Mateer to Mayfield, lol.

I guess everything's fixed for BV

Yeah, they're idiots.

I don't like this hire - It's a make or break year for BV and he needed a slam dunk, this ain't it.

This weekend, WSU didn't score a TD the entire 2nd half vs. 2-9 Wyoming, one of the worst defenses in all of football

29 years old with a ton of upside. Zack Alley has worked out pretty well as the DC.

Final regular season TD leaders:

1. John Mateer - WSU
44 total
29 passing
15 rushing

2. Cam Ward - Miami
41 total
36 passing
4 rushing
1 receiving

QB’s Ben Arbuckle coached ranked by recency:
1. John Mateer (2024)
2. Cam Ward (2023)

Can ward put up video game numbers at Incarnate Word

He would have sucked in this years OU system too. Yall are giving up on Arnold and Hawkins too soon with the OL and injuries. Arnold will be a stud

Hope we keep them both and having the injured guys back on OL and adding a few more OL replacements for next season will help.

QB wasn't the problem. Their WRs were decimated by injuries and last Saturday it looked like they had a blanket on every play. They also need OL help in the worst way.

Auburn’s about to drop a large bag in front of Mateer. Will be interesting to watch.

He’s following arbuckle unless Auburn pays an ungodly sum of money that he’s not worth.

No, I'm not excited about Arbuckle or Mateer for that matter. I'm struggling to underatand our continued facination with the Air Raid. Not looking forward to totally abandoning the run game (which will happen under this guy).

Read up, its not what you think

Leach’s version of the air raid had QB’s throwing 55 passes per game.

Arbuckle has Mateer throwing 28.9 passes per game while racking up 15 rushing TD’s on the season.

The two offenses are not the same so they shouldn’t be treated as such.

I'll believe it when I see it. Remember, his offense played against a nobody schedule this season.
