Niblett always came across as the kind of guy that would be a Pastor at a non denominational mega church. Wearing acid washed jeans and a tank top. He just has that slimy vibe.

100% someone would have taken a chance, at least as an offensive coordinator.

Hell, in high school he had Jeremy Pruitt (Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, NY Giants) and Kevin Sherrer (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, NY Giants) on his staff at Hoover.

He just absolutely could not get out of his own way, even at later stops.

Niblett does look like the kind of guy that makes questionable comments to high school girls and will eventually get caught cheating on his wife with one of his daughter’s 18 year old friends that he’s known since she was a kid.

'I did it for the kids': Hoover High School football coach takes shirt off at pep rally

A Hoover football coach took his shirt off at a pep rally Friday, drawing criticism from some on social media who said they considered the display to be inappropriate for a school event. Others expressed support for the unusual move.

Hoover High School head football coach Josh Niblett stripped off his jacket and cutoff shirt during the Friday afternoon event.

quote:

"What school's gonna flex?" he asked the crowd, referencing a "Flex or Flinch" sign hanging above the school gym where the rally was held.

quote:

Hoover went on to lose its Friday evening home game against Alabaster's Thompson High School by a score of 32 to 25.

The other side if that is he had a very high opinion of himself even before he had all the championships at Hoover.

He had already been dominant at Oneonta and Oxford before Hoover. He seems like a narcissist, but you can't argue that he's a great high school football coach.

A few years ago his coaching tree was only 2nd behind Saban and was only a HS coach. He had more coaches in college football than Urban Meyer did.

He was 14-18 in 3 years at Oxford. Not really "dominant".

He had to forfeit games because a kid moved out of district with his grandmother because mother was in jail the AHSAA made them forfeit 9 or 10 games at a later date.

I'm aware. He was not dominant at Oxford.

They had to forfeit the first 7 games of his last season. 11 losses in the 2 other seasons is not dominant in HS football.

He looks like he's about ready to start his own non-denom church.
