I find players that go places for money don't work as hard or play together. A team of 5 stars is a bunch of prima donnas....Its the teams with the good coaches that can bring out the best in the players that seems to be successful.

Just look at Michigan last year. Sure, they had NIL and blue chippers, but they also stuck around to win a championship. A throwback to the pre NIL/portal days.

A salary cap for salaries is fine.

Yes, as a mmatter of fact, we did screw the arse off of your mother in the backseat of a '74 Pontiac.
Tell her I said hello. It was the Era of Free Love, so there were a bunch of us. Tell her we all said hello.

yeah. I hate that they beat my favorite team, but that was kind of cool.

Oregon has 4 players committed with a composite score greater than 95..
For comparison, that A&M class had 20 players with that rating.. including 8 five stars, all in the top 25. A lot of those players have left, but that class was flat out ridiculous.. and it was also a ridiculous waste of money.
Lanning is a great coach, but they are nowhere near that A&M class. They could add 10 Top 50 guys and still be way behind..

Yep, and we see how well that worked out. These types of classes look great on paper; however, we should call them what they truly are....rental classes.
With the current climate, the odds of keeping classes year over year are anything but a given.

All that money will still never buy a natty. You still need an elite coach, elite staff, and borderline generational talent at QB.

That man's people skills never ceases to awe me. I suppose he had that affect on almost anyone he ever met. Its no wonder he could bring out the best in anyone in his ring of influence.

They need to go out and buy some defensive linemen.
