Gamecocks up 2-1, runners on 1st and 2nd, 0 outs!

Foster just gave up 4 consecutive hits...put a fork in him, he's done. He's a great pitcher though, they asked a lot of him after pitching a complete 114 pitch game on Friday.

Gamecocks up 4-1 now with a runner on 2nd and 1 out.

Foster, it's time to head to the bench.

This guy hasn't started since Presbyterian?

No, he's far away their best starter....he pitched in their Game 1 on Friday and threw a complete game and 112 pitches or so. He's something like 13-1 on the season: he's in the top 3 pitchers in the nation in wins, and USC has played against all 3 of them...

...and now he gone. UNC-W's bullpen drops substantially in pitching effectiveness....

Hmmm..so we have a shot at becoming the first SEC team ever to advance to 12 supers, huh?

And LSU has the opportunity to join us as the second if we do win this game...I like it.
(If I heard that correctly, that is)

That won't get mentioned 50 million times during tonight's game. Nope, won't happen.

They already announced that Rice will host?

Coastal can host in Myrtle and have. They trolled the Carolina fans in that one.

Yep, that was in 2010....they trolled us so bad we ran off all the way to Omaha....

And Coastal hosted in Myrtle Beach in 2010 because their home stadium was too small and they wouldn't have been able to host the Supers otherwise. But they've since rebuilt them a totally new larger home stadium, so I imagine that they would host LSU on their home campus there, which technically resides in Conway, SC which is the county seat of Horry County. MB would be a quick 15-minute drive east from there......

How's the attendance? I am at work and can't watch this game. I imagine it's probably piss poor attendance considering it's a 2pm game on a Tuesday.

Yardcocks lead 5-1, going to the Top of the 5th. Widener still dealing 94 mph fastballs, so we'll probably still roll with him this inning.

We actually have jobs here with this thing called vacation/PTO benefits where you can take time off and still receive pay. It's a pretty sweet deal. Mind blown, right?

We put in our closer, Reagan, who leads the SEC in Saves.

He throws heat and these UNCW guys have shown so far that they have trouble with it.

Destino leads off with a strong double....Bride then bunts safely for a single, advancing Destino to 3B - corners now and 0 outs.....
