To Vandy's immense credit, they've pocketed all the $ everyone is is burning through, are still going bowling and will soon win a lawsuit to have their QB another year.

It won't even make it before a judge within 3 years.

Still, choosing Brian Kelly over $10 million would be maybe the biggest recruiting gaffe in the history of the sport.
It is fun to shite on BK (I do it pretty often) but the better Jayden Daniels does on Sundays the less appealing $10.5M/4 years looks.

The schools that had a big advantage in the old model don't like competition in the new model. News at 10.

Yeah that's a fair point. It just seems to be swinging way too far in the other direction. I'm older and cranky and hate change. That's the real issue for me

This shite is stupid

He’s getting paid more than Brock Purdy and hasn’t played a down of football

I hope LSU isn’t paying that much but I’m almost certain they will try

Why pay that much money just for someone to hand off the ball?

Yea, IDK what this article is implying https://www.bestofarkansassports.com/arkansas-football-evan-noel-florida-old-fashioned-money/

I can’t imagine the lowest rated player gets paid much different between SEC schools.

He's not going to Michigan. They can throw all the money they want around to these kids, but it does not change the fact they are going to be on probation for multiple years

The insane amount of risk is the number one reason the NFL stopped letting rookies negotiate contracts before they ever played a down.

The only reason the NFL was able to do that was because the existing players realized that rookies making so much meant less for them.

College football doesn't have collective bargaining with the players and has no plans for any (current plan is to beg Congress to bail them out).

So this will remain a wild west

The kids don't care about this. They don't care about the teams and they don't care about winning in college.

They care about getting paid now and getting drafted as soon as possible.

But you're going to need 2 or 3 of them. Especially if you are going to recruit them out of highschool, which might mean years sitting on the bench.

I told everyone here that now that it is legal to pay players, the B1G would begin to dominate because it has more money than anyone.

When The SEC added A&M and Texas that is no longer true.
