It wasn’t the worst hit in the world
Dude is a badyback bitch and avoided dozens of college age males to hit a girl. The fact Saban hasn’t kicked him off the team speaks volumes about Saban. This isn’t a heated he said/she said but a clear cut with video member of Sabans football program striking a female.

Protect him from what? It's the SEC Rant where 90% of the people here just want to talk shite and couldn't generally give a frick about the girl or anything else.

ISWYDT.
Because we all know you've seen far too many college football games to think that the game officials have any jurisdiction over crowd control when the game ends.

From reading people talking about it before seeing the video I figured he must have knocked her out cold with a punch to the face.
That barely looked like a tap. Consider me disappointed. I thought he murdered someone. Holy over-reaction. Suspend him for a game and move on.

Here is internet user Jjdoc practically giddy when an individual lost a testicle to a rubber bullet shot by police at rioters.

Here, Jjdoc is excited that a BLM protestor was run over by a car:

But when a white girl who trespasses gets her hair open hand swatted by a black player, he is outraged.
Internet user Jjdoc only virtue signals when it’s convenient.

This is the internet looking for any opportunity to pile on Alabama when they can because there's been so few opportunities. He shouldn't have hit her head but I really thought he punched her out cold by the way people have been clutching their pearls over it.

And by the way, wearing a short skirt is illegal just as much as rushing the field is - which is to say that neither are illegal according to the actual law.
I would have thought that buying a ticket didn't allow entrance onto what should be a restricted space. If that's true, maybe that's part of the problem. Comparing rushing the field (which is clearly against SEC rules, and possibly is trespassing) to wearing a short skirt is just foolish. Burton should get a suspension or such as punishment, but fans have no business rushing the field.

Yes there I am posting about a RIOTER burning down people's property etc... Getting shot in the nuts by a rubber bullet.
That you can not grasp the difference between a rioter burning down peoples businesses and more and a girl celebrating on the field SAYS EVERYTHING about you.

Same here. Equating the 2 says more about you than anything you could have EVER stated here.

True and if the NCAA wanted it to stop, they would force a forfeit!
Fans would stop it!

You don’t have any idea what that guy was doing. That girl had a knife and was planning on stabbing a player for gods sake!

Same here.
Oh? Someone standing in the road, where they shouldn’t be, received bodily harm as a result.
Please explain how that situation and this girl getting swatted in the head is any different. You can’t.
You’re just a hypocrite. That’s all.

I only watched it twice. Looked like she may have been taunting him and he shoved her in the head. She looked back at him in disgust, suprise or whatever.
If she was injured I can see him being charged with some offense.
I say let it take it's course and both parties can learn from the experience. (the player would obviously get the worst of any legal repercussions)
Her taunting didn't harm anything but his ego. His shove didn't seem to harm her but I don't know.
It does seem to have created a Rant worthy thread or two.
Wish Obama was here to invite them for a beer confrence so they could make up and apologize.

If you shot a gun near or close to me because you were upset about losing a game, I’d consider it that you tried to shoot me. Burton tried to hit her. Don’t try to position it in a way that makes Burton innocent or less guilty because he might have brushed her hair or however you want to rationalize this to yourself. The intent was there. But just like he came up short in the game, he came up short with an attempted hit. A scumbag wearing an Alabama uniform was caught on camera trying to hit a girl celebrating an awesome win for her school. Don’t take it personal to Alabama, just kick that POS off your football team. Hell, you guys are deep enough with blue chip talent, right?

Exactly. I'm a grad from Alabama and it's only a reflection on Bama if we do nothing about it.

How are they supposed to stop more than 20,000 people surrounding a small patch of grass, from stepping on that small patch of grass? Especially when that 20k has the high ground and only has to hop down over the railing, while surrounding the objective 360 degrees.
If not able or expected to than the real question is why does the university get a fine for not stopping it?
