Interesting.

All these 3 guard lineups are why I'm stoked about Haugh at the 3.

Chinyelu/Condon/Haugh could be one of the best offensive rebounding frontcourts in a very long time.

We may not shoot as well as last year but we're going to absolutely obliterate the boards.

We're going to be adding some more pieces as well, some big gets still out there for us. Still going to be a very good team next year. The experience front court will do some damage.

As of today compared to last years production on paper: (can change in an hour)

1. Much better - UK and Arkansas

2. Even to slight decline- Tennessee, Auburn, and Florida

3. Big decline - bama

Thoughts:

Arkansas and Kentucky will both be excellent teams.

Auburn, Florida, and Tennessee are yet to be determined. I expect all three to be in the top 25 but how high depends on chemistry.

Alabama has several extremely highly ranked freshman coming in. My prediction for them will be based on how they look non-con. If the young guys are mature like Tahaad - bama can be really good. If not, it will be Nate’s worst year on campus. (Unless they get a portal stud)

Thomas will start over Wagner by mid SEC play is my guess. Better shooter and rebounder just give him some time to develop like Knox.

We have some nice players coming in but it's not as talented a class as last year's was. I really don't expect a ton from any of them. Still waiting to hear on the Washington State kid - adding him would be pretty big, but we have to beat Duke and the NBA draft, so it's far from a sure thing. I'd expect that we grab another point guard from the portal once Philon 100% confirms he's in the draft officially.

I think the floor is going to be pretty high - a bunch of good shooters and tons of athletic length. I expect Bethea will be very good for us and I think Bol Bowen can be very efficient on both ends for us. Sherrell is going to take a big leap and getting Wrightsell back is encouraging (though also TBD given his injury history). The Bucknell kid is very wait and see.

We should be pretty good defensively and our offensive floor is always pretty high. We certainly won't be as bad as Nate's first year and likely won't be as bad as 2022.

Ceiling is #2-3 seed, floor is probably #7-8 seed.

People will never learn to let Arkansas basketball prove it in conference play.

Dollars to donuts, they start out 2-5 in conference play with inexplicable losses to Georgia and Missouri.

Prolly still make the Sweet 16, however.

Arkansas will definitely be better. I expect top 10 throughout the year. The problem for them is I completely expect Cal to be outcoached by a lesser seed in the sweet 16 or elite 8.

Is this guy stupid? The best conference in college basketball doesn't have 1 top 9 team? Lol ok

I'd probably have a few in the Top 10 but we'll definitely all be doing a bit of a reset next year. Still will be a really good league, but probably not quite as elite at the top.

the downfall of alabama under snake oil salesman and Mr wrong place wrong time nate oats is coming. Theyve shown that they reached their ceiling the last two seasons. I expect him to bolt after this year

I think Bama will make the Tournament but will not be the typical Nate Oats team at or near the top of the SEC.

I think Ole Miss and Texas A&M will see the biggest drop offs.

The SEC caught lightning in a bottle this year. Unfortunately most of us will be rebuilding next year.

I expect we’ll get 10-11 teams in the Tournament, down from 14.

We may be the best conference once again, but we won’t be nearly as strong as last year.

Rothstein is a clown. Kentucky has a top 3 in the nation roster currently.
