Yet will beat Corndog U...again.
You needed Joe Biden to run our defense and Turner to “pull a Saban” to keep the game from getting close.
Bama couldn’t even beat LSU with 39 scholarship players. Sit down and shut the frick up.

Beat the ALL TIME GREATEST GEORGIA TEAM EVAAAR and still getting questioned.

Milroe's earned the right to be unquestioned this year.
He's the most proven quarterback in the SEC outside Ewers.

Because he is garbage. It was obvious. He is not good.
A slight upgrade from Jordan Jefferson.
Jordan Jefferson was a sub-.600 passer while at LSU with a passer rating of 127.8. Meanwhile, Milroe completed almost 66% of his passes last year with a passer rating of 172.2.

Last year Milroe looked like Jayden looked 2 years ago. You can see the athleticism is there but plenty of WTF moments. Milroe is on the cusp imo and if he can make the leap like Jayden did then look out.

Pretty much knew that with no scouting experience and a tv.

I think this is overblown. Tommy Rees was great last year in transforming chicken shite to chicken salad.
As we saw with Kiffin and Blake Sims, there's only so much an OC can do with a severely limited QB.
That's cool that you have the audacity to put Tommy Rees in the same sentence with Lane Kiffin. BAMA wanted the deep throw all season and couldn't figure out how to scheme runs for the fastest guy on offense until the tennessee game. If you watched the games you would know that. If you knew the tendencies of a Kalen DeBoer offense you would also know that won't be the case this year.

Yeah it's not groundbreaking analysis. He could have watched any game beside me screaming "RUN MOTHERfrickER" when Milroe dropped back to pass.

Pretty sure that wasn't LSU's mantra.

I don’t care what some NFL scout thinks of him. Tommie Frazier wasn’t getting 1st round projections and in the right offense, he was an all time great college quarterback. Milroe could be the same

a coach can plan and call a great game but the player on the field has to execute it

Milroe has 10X the athletic ability of Penix
not sure what Milroe has done to make you think that but would be good

If DeBoer can get Milroe to perform in that same vein with his athleticism, Bama will stand on some teams nuts.
athleticism isn't the problem, an effective and productive passing game is the problem
he has a great chance to prove himself this season. As another poster said, McClaughlin and Rees are gone, and the new coach is known for producing a very good offense. No excuses.

one dimensional offense. You could win titles with that and a great defense 30 years ago

Oh, I was there when Ty Simpson and Buckner tried to run a Tommy Rees offense vs South Florida. Hardly the best team on our schedule. Tommy Rees was terrible in game planning most of the season.

so Rees is gone. Milroe has a great opportunity with a coach known for very good offense

Weird. I just watched Daniel Jeremiah do an interview with a scout at the Manning Academy.
He had Ewers as his no. 1 and Beck no. 2
WIth Milroe he said almost what seemed like the opposite of what I saw last year on film. The scout said he hadn't watched much film on the guys there, but said Milroe did well in the ten to twenty yard pass range at the camp but wasn't as good on the deep ball. Said it fluttered quite a bit.

You could still do that three years ago.

In 2021 UGA had 3778 yards passing and 2864 yards rushing.

So he is. And I understand, very well, why Tommy Rees is now tight ends coach for the Cleveland Browns. Now we will see the short attack that stretches side to side while still taking the occasional deep shots. Lots of screens, rub routes over the middle of the field, slants, and passes to the running backs. Instead of just being a sitting duck on deep passes, Jalen will have the check down on almost every play. Life as QB just got a lot easier.
