Auburn football struggles is a fan sport, but so is watching Bama fans coping with the playoff snub.

And anyone who watched us this year saw that we lost 2-3 games solely because of a really, really inconsistent quarterback.

Funny, that's why Bama lost 3 games too. Except we only lost 3 and you lost just a few more than that.

Auburn is at risk of being kicked out of the Big 6...Does Texas take their place?

Auburn’s offense was just too complicated for Payton Thorn’s talent level. Plays were taking too long to develop and too many were low percentage plays anyway. Standing in the pocket for 5 seconds trying hit guys 40 yards downfield is not going to cut it in the SEC. We were able to move the chains in the few games that we called shorter passing plays and ran the ball more often. We had no answer to being blitzed. Why we didn’t throw bubble screens or run the draw play is beyond me? Defense played well enough to win more games.

I think it's more accurate to say that PT was trying to play hero ball too much, ignoring short gains and going for the long ball, which he simply did not have the arm to do. Freeze's former OM QB did a very detailed critique of him at mid-season where he said PT ignored far too many short routes he should have been focussed on 4 yds per play.

Not like they don’t have plenty of money I think right now it’s just the QB problem

The truth is the OP desperately wants Auburn to be good again because of State pride. Just admit it. No shame in that. It’s very understandable.

It has been interesting to watch the evolution of Auburn fans the last five years. They care much less about college football, or claim to care much less about college football; yet they care much more about what happens in Tuscaloosa.

Between Auburn and LSU fans, this is the best website on the internet to find out about breaking news from Tuscaloosa.

Auburn actually looked like a good football team the times I saw them play. Their QB play was atrocious though and clearly holding them back.

Depends how you define being "back." They won't ever have a 20 year run of being a perennial contender like a Oklahoma, Ohio St, Alabama, etc. But they can absolutely get really good out of nowhere, maybe even sustain it 5-7 years.

That’s an awful lot of verbiage about Auburn for someone who claims to not think about them much.

Any team can turn around quickly if they know how to run the portal and NIL properly, Auburn included.

We’re good again and our stretch from 2009 to 2020 was dismal. Even if 2014-2016 wasn’t too bad.
