Eventually, it’s bound to happen. The headquarters of the SEC has to eventually move.

With OU, Texas, A&M, Arkansas, LSU, Missouri and the Mississippi schools with their collective voice in the west.

Looking east you have Bama, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, Vandy, Kentucky.

Long term which teams will win out on moving the headquarters?

I think the big winner will be LSU. Eventually, the west teams will pull it west.

But not to Texas. But probably to Mississippi or LA.

It’s bound to happen eventually. Sorry Bama fans.

There is absolutely no chance of the headquarters going to Mississippi or Louisiana.

Should move to Destin. All their meetings are there. Nashville is another good option.

The sooner you Texas baws come to grips with the fact that Bama has a stranglehold on the SEC office the better off you will be.

It should move to a place less of a rabid sidewalk fan haven that Birmingham is. Memphis seems a pretty central and more diverse fan area than Birmingham. But Memphis is a shithole like Birmingham is. I suspect that if they ever do move it, it will be to Atlanta, because they love Atlanta in the SEC head office, even though Atlanta is an even bigger shithole than both Memphis and Birmingham.

Why? This isn’t the 1700s. With modern transportation and communication technology there is no reason to move the SEC headquarters. The new folks can eat a bag of dick or leave.

I will go along with that as long as Sankey is required to live in Peking.

The fact that y’all think the location of the headquarters benefits anybody is stupid.

Almost as stupid as thinking the HQ is going to move

All this time it's been in the SEC West (& NOTHING was said). The SEC grows & the state of Alabama will be in the SEC East..."GOTTA MOVE HQ!!!"

A few things here:
1 - you forgot SC in your list of SEC East schools
2 - if this is about SEC East/West, then the HQ should move EAST for a change (it WAS in the West)
3 - we don't even know what the SEC will reformat itself to as it grows, so is there going to be an "East & West" anymore?

The office will be where Saban and the University of Alabama say it will.

Deal with it.

Here's a book for Texas to read while they prepare from their move to the SEC

There is no point in getting all worked up about this right now. After Texas becomes an active member, our AD will tell the SEC commissioner the new location of the SEC headquarters and any other changes we feel we need to let you know about.

I wonder where Texas will deposit the reality check they have coming.

It's an office. With cubicles and little rooms. It doesn't matter.
