Now some idiot Georgia Senator has filed an appeal to have the Orange Bowl added to this years CFP. It just seems like all these politicians are now trying to use the CFP to pander for votes. Good grief!!!

How the hell is a 6 team format going to work? Lol

A press release is not an appeal. There is no ruling to which an appeal would be applied.

Oh wow. Politicians using popular hot topics to pander? Oh wow.

Lol who knows. All these politicians chiming in now are just trying to grab some headlines and hope they turn into votes later.

I didn’t read but the first paragraph of the story. The headline at the top stated that this Georgia state Senator filed an appeal.

I’d be for it. Everything would have to be restructured. Have 1 and 2 with a bye, then matchup 3-6 and 4-5. So Michigan and Washington get a bye, then have UGA vs Texas and Bama vs FSU. Seems fair to me

They couldn’t pull that off in a couple of weeks time even if they wanted too. These dipshit politicians know this.

Oh I know. But it would be the fair thing to do and would shut up the crying

Well to be fair it is on his official Senate stationary and is titled "Appeal to The CFP Committee to Include the Orange Bowl in the College Football Playoff".
I think he knows that people will read "appeal" and think of it in a legal sense instead of just being a personal request.
I don't think it has a lick of authority but still shouldn't use your office to pull stupid shite like this. It's embarrassing.

On WWE Raw next week Vince McMahon is going to announce that the winner of the Orange Bowl gets to face the champ for a title match at Footballmania.

Changing the rules after the fact is just another form of welching.
No do-overs, everyone has to play fair.
Like if we were playing slap out and I hit you so hard your eyeball came out and you quit, you don't get to come back tomorrow and get to slap me with a patch over your empty eye socket.
It's over.

You’re not wrong, but the rules needed to be changed and it’s a shame that the 12 team playoff wasn’t implemented this season. I’ve never seen a season where 6 teams had legitimate playoff claims. 2 teams got screwed over and were going to get screwed over regardless of the 4 the committee picked.

Can't tell if serious ...

I would be more inclined to think that this has more to do with the payout differential.
The Orange Bowl is somewhere in the neighborhood of 14 million while the other games are in the neighborhood of 70 million.
FSU's lost revenue is at the apex of the Florida anti-trust inquiry.

Smells blood in the water because the Florida case is going to merit standing.
My relatives in Florida told me that the sentiment of outrage is off the charts.

No it's not. What jurisdiction does the Florida AG have over the CFP committee? What subpoena power does she have? Zero.
