ESPN playoff predictor says Bama and GA are locks to get in at 2 losses and no SECCG...

The playoff predictor says if you have 2 losses and don't make the SECCG this is your odds to make the playoff.

Bama 99%
GA 99%
Ole Miss 83%
TN 75%
Texas 63%

The odds for the others cant be nearly that high though in reality if Bama and GA are really close to being 99% locks to get in with that scenario.

It also says BYU is a 99% lock if they only lose the championship game and that Indiana is a 97% lock if they only lose to Ohio State with no championship game appearance. Miami is shown with a 33% chance if they lose their championship game

The whole thing is a joke really. You have teams playing nobody getting in while punishing the teams that play tough schedules.

Why play a tough schedule?

Imagine a world where Bama and UGA with their brands went independent in football, scheduled nonsense teams all year, save a good opener and decent closer.

CFP lock every year and keeps all the monies.... hmmm

If SoS doesn't matter, what are we doing. Best teams? It's a joke.

Top 12 in, no auto-qualifiers. Add computers back to a weighted portion of the rankings.

I personally think 10-2 with the schedule we had to play would not even be up for discussion.

Georgia is not a lock.

I think in the past years they would have been close to being a lock with their schedule if they beat TN but the committee may be leaning more on head to head than they did in the past this season. I guess we will know if they move Georgia up in the rankings if they beat TN.

Why not LSU? I guaranteed Florida to beat LSU so another SEC team can get in over LSU.

They already have three losses. We are comparing two loss teams in this thread.

If there is a way to backdoor into the playoffs, you can bet Bama will waltz through it.

But some LSU fans were saying if LSU gets in the SEC championship and wins it then LSU will be in.

I don’t know anyone who is saying that. I’d be surprised if LSU won at the Swamp this week.

Why would Alabama be a lock with a worse loss and an easier schedule than UGA?

Go to SDS and read some of the earlier posts about using the odds chart for getting to the SEC championship game.

The only team with a chance to back door into the playoffs is LSU with three losses and a win in the SECCG so I’m a bit amused by this jab.

They lost to USC who looks like they may finish 4-8.
