Not sure how I forgot about Beamer. He's deserving as well.

Lea over Napier. He's done as well as can be expected at Vandy. Napier has not, despite winning his last two games.

I don't think any of the "having an unexpectedly good season" coaches have done well enough to win over the coach who has the best season.

Vandy will end up 6-6 this year. Same with Napier. That's just not good enough.

My prediction is the coach of the team that wins the SECCG will win SEC coach of the year.

Maybe Beamer can get it if SC beats Clemson and finishes 9-3. But not if they're 8-4.

No, but I think Pavia might be first team QB. What he has done at Vandy is amazing.

I feel like I say this a lot, but Napier first lowered the bar of expectations to the floor and then stepped over it. It is impressive he didn't lose the locker room, but it seems hardly coach of the year worthy.

247sports says that Florida has the #12 team talent composite, which is on par with LSU and well ahead of Ole Miss. If you want to question the use of the talent composite as a metric, you may have a point. But I don't see anything better.
