Ever wonder why when any Texas school loses a coach its addition by subtraction lol…. Texas loses their best coach since Barnes and they are going to be much better lol…. You guys are clowns seriously .

What players? We only have 2 underclassmen left. Buzz is gone and taking all his lifetime assistants.

Buzz is a high floor coach regardless of his offensive struggles. His teams stay in games due to their physicality and rebounding. Can always get worse than Buzz.
Making the NCAAT 3x in a row seems like peak A&M to me in basketball. Maybe the tradeoff of consistency to build 1 super team to make some kind of miracle run but I kinda doubt the next coach can get them consistently to NCAAT, they gave Buzz plenty of time to do it, will they for the next one?

Are you talking about Rodney Terry? Meth is a hell of a drug

I’m pretty sure the Kennedy had one or 2 Sweet 16’s before his illness made him retire. Buzz wasn’t about to reach that with his best team ever.

Good for him.
He hit his ceiling in College Station.

Kennnedy also had Alex Caruso.

Too bad the team doesn’t have a young hitting coach to promote to HC

Meh, not too upset over Buzz leaving. He wasn't going to get it done here. Whether anyone can continues to be the question.

Buzz definitely hit his ceiling here at A&M. We have no roster for next year and if you look at Buzz’s track record he always tries to find the next job. I feel like he wanted to go to a place that is more dedicated to basketball. But on the flip side I wouldn’t call Maryland much of an upgrade considering what Willard said out the door.

Buzz is a good coach and will have his teams be consistently good, not great. Whoever said high floor is correct. That is good enough for most schools I think.

Texas A&M was headed for a full blown disaster if Buzz didnt get this job. He clearly wanted out but wouldn't have had a home. Awkward lol

Buzz is a high floor low ceiling coach for sure. Which I don’t want to take for granted as a school with so little basketball history. But it could be brutal basketball to watch and I am ready to watch something different, even if there’s risk involved and it the results might be worse
Maryland is a clear step up as a program and I’d be a little disappointed as a Maryland fan. You aren’t winning titles with how he plays, I think they can do better

Buzz buyout was 1M, and they got 2M from Villinova.
I'm not sure where the 10M number came from. It lowered from 2 to 1 on April 1st...

Rodney Terry is on line 1

We had two sweet 16s and won the SEC once in Kennedy’s last 4 years. Buzz underperformed.

Buzz Williams is signed through the 2028 season, and his buyout is $10 million. If Maryland wants him, it's going to cost a pretty penny
Where are you getting the $1M from? Not his contract.

He had a pretty good run, but a fresh start for both is probably for the best.
Now we’ll see if Trev Alberts is up for the job.
The team doesn’t have a full roster right now so he needs to get a program builder.

No one said we would be better going from Beard to Terry.
