Heading to Lexington this weekend. What are some can’t miss things to do and where should we eat?

Give me an idea of what kind of food you're looking for and I can give you better recommendations. And where are you staying? I can recommend places that are close by (not that Lexington is really that hard to get around.)
If you're willing to spend some money for dinner, the aforementioned Malone's is always a good option. I personally love The Merrick Inn. Their prime rib is out of this world. Jeff Ruby's and Tony's Steakhouse are both high dollar excellent dining options downtown. Carson's is another great option downtown.
I definitely suggest Wild Egg's or Josie's for breakfast. You will not be disappointed by either.
Red State BBQ and Blue Door Smokehouse are both great lunch options.
Like I said, let me know what you're looking for and I can make suggestions.
Hope you enjoy your time in Lexington my man

The real Lexington?
The first Lexington?
Lexington, SC .... where I live. Was a town before KY was a state.
O'Harah's on Main. But there are many others around town and 680 miles of Lake Murray shoreline.

Was there on my bachelor party a few years ago so my memory is a little hazy. I do know that we really enjoyed Malones for dinner and Bourbon n' Toulouse for lunch. Lex Live was fun for a bengals game despite having no interest in the outcome.

For good country cooking without huge expense go to Ramseys.
The other spots mentioned are more $ but very good.
Lexington, KY was founded in 1775. It was Lexington, Virginia at that time.

Pearl’s Pizza is one of my favorites.

The Keeneland track kitchen is a great breakfast stop. In fact, I would list it as a really cool visitor location. Near the barns and you’re eating an extremely cheap, excellent southern breakfast with legit horsemen all around. Nothing fancy but it’s a treat and even without a meet, Keeneland is a great destination.

There's a Captain D's there. That's about all that's good in Lexington.

Lots of ties between the 2 Lexingtons. VMI was created by folks from Central Kentucky, not as sure about W&L.

Is that the one around the corner from Spaulding's and down the street from the JIF plant? If so, hit all 3 as easy park and walk.

Is the Columbia steak house still a thing?
I thought it was good at one time, but haven't been there in a few years.

Year each city was named "Lexington":
Lexington, KY (the largest Lexington in the US) - 1775
Lexington, SC - 1785 (formerly Saxe Gotha)
Lexington, MA - 1713
So...Lexington, Massachusetts is the oldest "Lexington" and Lexington, Kentucky has been named "Lexington" a decade longer than Lexington, SC.

All the aforementioned places are good. If you’re staying downtown, just walk to Tony’s or Jeff Ruby’s. Of course, there are several other spots worthy to check out there if places are already booked. Lexington downtown is an easy and relatively safe walk.
Staying outside of downtown, Malone’s would be my preference. Plenty of parking, three locations, and while you’ll still pay good money, you get a good value, all things considered. The unlimited bread and salad that comes with your entree almost steals the show.
A personal favorite is a local italian spot Guiseppe’s. Somewhat tucked away in a non-commercial area, it just has a nice vibe.

Lexington, KY was named when news of the battle of Lexington, MA reached a party of hunters in Central KY. They were camped at a location known as McConnell Springs. That area is now a park.
