I know there have been a lot of good coaches and players to come through, but when you consider what Auburn basketball was when Pearl arrived in Auburn, he’s got to be in the upper echelons of Auburn sports figures.
Congratulations on the Final Four. Pearl has done a terrific job for y’all.

Absolutely. No question.

Absolutely. You can’t not have him there. He’s basically “invented” Auburn basketball.
Two final fours? Build the statue.

To me personally, considering what he's done with what our program has been historic wise, he might be our greatest all time coach (unless you include swimming in the David Marsh years)

I mean Auburn basketball over the last decade is arguably as good as any decade of Auburn football other than the 80s under Dye.
Pearl, Dye and Baird is a pretty good group for big 3 sports.

Absolutely…has been since he was hired basically because of how incredibly well he promotes Auburn.
He did the same at Tennessee, Milwaukee and Southern Indiana.

Pearl: two final fours at a historically lower tier basketball school
Shug: Shug was a man’s man who was in amphibious landings in North Africa, Sicily, Normandy, and Okinawa. He won a nattie.
Bo: enough said
Cam: Enough said
Barkley: enough said
Also considered:
Erk Russell: the last four sport letterman at Auburn.
Also considered: Frank Thomas

David Marsh and Bruce are easily the two best HC's Auburn has ever had. Bruce will have a statue in the future.

How many we get? Let ya know.

I believe he is first on wins at Auburn also. At a job many viewed as a dead end after barbee got fired.

He was before this season even started

He’s the greatest coach we’ve ever had irrespective of sport, and that includes whether we win a natty or not. He took a moribund program with very little tradition and (at the time) no future to heights no one ever thought possible. His energy and his personality match the Auburn creed perfectly. He’s Auburn’s GOAT.

It would be like a football coach winning multiple conference championships and playoff appearances at Vandy.
