Schedule really had little to do with it.
Alabama was one of the three best teams in the SEC this year and big surprise, finished as one of the 3 teams that went 7-1 in conference.
It's just clear Alabam was not THE team in the conference this year.

Bama was good, but the schedule was a cakewalk too. All offseason to prepare for an 8-4 VT team, an extra week to prepare for a 8-4 aTm team, and an extra week to prepare for a 9-3 LSU team.
Next year is a nice set up as well, but not quite as cake considering you're @ LSU, you have a 3 out of 4 away game stretch, and none of that includes your UF or AU games.
I trolled with an 8-4 prediction in an earlier thread, but I can legitimately see 9-3.

Had a busy day and couldn't watch any games today. Came over to the rant and saw 45-31 and automatically assumed Bama won. I was thinking "damn, I'm glad I didn't bet on them because they didn't cover".
