I get the Diet Dr. Pepper with extra vanilla & easy ice. Doesn't taste like a diet drink at all.

Truly Incredible! I don't know if all Sonics will do this, and there is an extra charge because it's so big (only comes in large or bigger), but a friend with teenagers who were experimenting & mixing up weird concoctions after hours at a Sonic with their buddies who work there told me about it. I figure they had the munchies.

Anyway, I decided to try it, so my friend & I went to the Sonic where it was "created" and asked the girl who was a co-founder of the mixture on the night in question to make one for my friend & me to share. She apparently knew we'd each want our own because when I buzzed her back to order a second one after tasting it, she came out, immediately, with another, evidently having made it along with the first.

It tastes just like a banana split in a shake, which is what she called it - Banana Split Shake. She did it on the sly away from her boss, so I'm assuming it's not on the menu yet.
But if you've got an "in" at a Sonic and like banana splits, definitely give this a try. You might want to fast beforehand, though; they're filling. I think she priced it at about $7, which was a bargain considering the size & everything in it.
