Honestly curious: did y’all hang a banner in Bud Walton to commemorate that one game? The way your fanbase still jerks themselves to it 27 years later leads me to believe it must be a crowning achievement in the state of Arkansas’ history.

Nope.... hung a national championship banner after that season you f'n dumb piece of shite....

I am ok with that with how your athletics department is trending.

Hey, our basketball team is God aweful. We knew it would be. As I said for that past several weeks on Saturdays...you think our football team is bad, wait until you see the craphole that is coming this winter.

I already knew that was coming because we had to deal with Cuonzo. God speed to your fanbase until he is gone

As if you aren't total dogshit in football this year...

We're trending up! We beat Vandy and Scar!! Sure we lost to Boston College, but trending in the right direction!! Lol

They simply don't fit, especially in the East.

They are 2-8 against P5 teams the last ten games they have played them. I guess that is on the up and up for them lok

We are beyond apathy as a fan base for basketball- which makes me sad.

No kidding. It was the one thing Mizzou could hang their hat on. Football and basketball are revenue makers. They pay the bills. The fat cats don’t understand that and never will.

If we beat them this year (which is not highly likely), I will laugh for approximately 12 months.

Dad went there, have been a number of times and its just a weird confused place. A complete Mix of hillbilly, Frozen Illinois Tundra, Ohio and Corn Fields to the west. Truly an odd regional state. It's not Southern, its not Northern and its really not that midwestern.

No real problem with them, they've kicked our arse for so many years in football it's hard to say anything. Other than being extremely pisses about the Black Friday game instead of LSU its an honest shame they've made some bad hires in basketball after Anderson.

Just further proves Pinkel was a badass coach. Dude killed the Big 12 and the SECE his first few years, shame about his health.

That being said, Mizzou is a 100x better fit in the Big 10 than a Rutgers or a Maryland.

Just bizarre for all parties that the SEC went this direction instead of VT or WVU.

Says the guy who probably has an altar built in his home to Tony Temple because he had a career day in Dallas against a Hog team without a head coach and a team who had already checked out of that disaster of a season.

I live in KC and I am still surprised at how many Missouri fans will talk about that game when they find out I'm a Hog fan. It's that program's high water mark for sure.

No one brings up that game unless Hog fans pretend their program is vastly superior to ours.

The only way to get admin’s attention is with money. It’s the donors to Mizzou who have to say,

“Enough, we’re paying the bills and we don’t like the product we’re getting.”

University administrators are usually snooty academicians who have little or no interest in sports. Recall the fan revolt at Ohio State, Nebraska and Penn State last year over the Big Ten’s decision not to play football. The Big Ten’s commissioner sucks, it’s true, but most of the university presidents backed him up. Threats from donors ultimately got their attention and the schools played at least a half season.

Mizzou donors may have to do something similar. It’s clear their athletic program has the least support from their administration in the SEC. Even Vandy’s admins have pledged $300 million for facility upgrades, although no renderings have materialized since that promise.

Mizzou fans have been subjected to lots of abuse from all quarters since their school joined the SEC. It’s a damn shame that their own administration is one of those quarters.

Time to rise up.

Read my post - I said every school adds value in at least 1 sport while you don't. Arkansas adds value in both basketball and baseball - with football getting better. VANDY at least adds value in baseball. I really think your fans should revolt and demand better from your whole admin

I have news for you, no sport adds any significant value to the conference outside of football. As much as a handful of SEC schools think that baseball matters, it doesn't. Approximately $6 million is the record revenue for a college baseball program in a season. The vast majority of college baseball programs lose money. And college basketball is all but dead.

This thread seems like deflection from that the fact that Mizzou has had a lot more success than Tennessee in the sport that matters since Mizzou joined the SEC, despite all of Tennessee's resources, tradition, and support.
