Should do it like the premier league.
Bottom of the standings you get tossed.
So Arkansas you're out
That would be funny if not for the fact we finished above 4 teams in the SEC last season.

It makes sense if you don’t understand the long game. The long game is 4 P5 conferences under 1 TV contract. So numbers are the driving factor. And while Mizzou and UofSC are not historically good teams, when looking for 16 to 20 teams in a balanced conference they do have a role. I am not a fan of Mizzou being in the SEC because culturally they just don’t fit very well but I understand that they are in and have a role to play.
Adding Texas isn’t a huge win for the SEC either really. Yes they have a large TV market value but by moving to the SEC and killing both the big 12 and longhorn network ESPN is now going to get Texas TVs at a steep discount vs lost revenue and duplicate services. And they push Fox a bit down the rating. The SEC ROI for ESPN has moved to cutting cost more so than generating revenue with moving Texas. That’s Texas’s role. And it doesn’t matter if they never make a playoff because ESPN can hype and market it while moving forward with creating a 64 team super conference under 1 TV deal.

In defense of South Carolina they bring a lot of passionate fans. They also have some fine looking women on that campus. That right there makes them SEC worthy.
Missouri is trying to catch up, as I understand it.

And have had more success in football than original members Kentucky, Mississippi, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt since being in the conference.
Plus the success SC has had in other sports.

Mizzou brings markets and has had more success than SCar. Plus they're AAU.

"They were only added such that the additions of Arkansas and A&M would be balanced.
The times are a changing. Just don’t know if they are really additive."
