Thought I'd let everybody see an update on their baseball team's high school recruiting class through the first 10 rounds of the draft. Below is their PG ranking and if they got drafted or not by team (through 10 rounds of draft). You can pretty much assume any player drafted through the first 10 rounds wont make it to campus. No SEC player outside the Top 250 got drafted in Top 10 rounds to my knowledge so I stopped there.

I’m more confident every day in my decision to hate everything baseball.

Thanks for doing this
If you don’t mind, could you please post the incoming freshman rankings for Wofford? I’m trying to see something

UGA with only 3 players and all #214 or lower, when this state is loaded with baseball talent should be unacceptable.
Same can be said with the basketball recruits who all leave the state.
I really wish we'd start attempting to give a shite about sports other than football.

Yep, UGA doesn't have any players listed in the top 200 while every Vandy player is in the top 200. There pretty much sums it up relative to UGA baseball. And yea, we aren't competitive in basketball either.
But hey it's by design. UGA fans don't seem to care about baseball or basketball. The UGA administration is focus on academic standing as they should be so they invest in football while is popular with our fans and a the main sports money maker for the university.

Alabama getting all but Miller on campus next year is about as massive a moment for the baseball program as we've had in a decade. Combine them with what is returning and the kids we've already got committed for the next 3 classes and you can really start to see the light at the end of the long, dark tunnel.

It is beyond ridiculous. Maybe the new AD will do something about it.

Yep.Metro Atlanta HS baseball talent is unmatched anywhere in the country.Hundreds of kids alone from East Cobb have been drafted.Heck one year they produced FIVE 1st rd draft picks.

I was surprised to see Arkansas signee (#47) SS Peyton Stovall withdrew from the draft after not being picked in the first round.

Georgia has more CWS titles, more CWS appearances, and a more recent CWS appearance than GTU yet the nerds are considered the "baseball school" in the state.
The basketball program is the round ball equivalent of UTK football, and our dumpster fire has been burning hotter and brighter than the one in Knoxville.
Our fans should demand more.

Thanks for doing this. I was also wondering how hard each team got hit in the draft for returning players. Looks like LSU is getting back a couple of guys who were thought to be on the fence.

I really have never understood UGA's reluctance to invest in baseball, especially considering the conference you play in. I've been to Foley field a number of times living here in ATL area and I cant even believe that's an SEC baseball facility. Then Scott Strickland still somehow has a job there after 8 years and only 2 NCAAT appearances...which were both home regional losses. I mean come on.

Georgia is a sleeping giant in baseball. If you build it they will come.

It’s the same with every sport at UGA. We had an academic president who only cared about making money by penny pinching. That went down to the Ad as well and he was a carry over. We didn’t even enter the football arms race until Kirby was hired. Maybe the new AD can change all of that.

Gonna end up with only 3?
We should be doing better getting more top 250 commits

Wow. BaseVOLS signed the #1 overall player in the country in House and are enrolling the highest ranked kid in the SEC in Burns.
