5 different coaches have won titles in the last 8 years you selected as, I guess, the toughest era ever to win a title.

And of those 5, only Fisher and Dabo were in their first HC stints and both were in the mark ably weaker ACC. Meyer, Saban, and Orgeron all had ample HC experience heading into their title year(s).

Point being, you’re drawing an inane conclusion out of a strained comparison.

If you want to compare Kirby’s results to those of Fisher, Dabo, Day, and Riley then I think you can more accurately grade him.

Are you really saying that it’s tougher to win a title in the last 8 years (when we actually have a playoff) than it was in the:

Bama/USC/Texas ‘60s?
Nebraska/Oklahoma/Notre Dame ‘70s?
Penn State/Miami ‘80s?
Florida State/Florida/Nebraska ‘90s?

Are you really saying nothing has changed from those decades other than the teams that are dominant?

Chizik won his in-between 3 bama titles and an SEC run of 7 straight

And did absolutely nothing else of merit otherwise as a HC.

Wanna go down that same road with O?

O had 5 years experience as a HC which I believe is that same as Kirby.

I’m saying it’s always been very hard to win a title.

2-0 vs Kirby. I guess we can put that on O’s resume since Kirby is so awesome.
