Yeah. Did he actually say that O was unintelligent, or just that it was a dumb thing to say?
I listened to the interview on YouTube earlier. I posted the context above. He was calling the quote from coach O forthright and less intelligent.

Isn’t Forde one of the guys trying his hardest to get Will Wade fired

Dan asked what he made of Coach O's comment about essentially the entire team has already tested positive. Pat Forde replied that was Coach O being more forthright and less intelligent.
I'm not sure the word "intelligent" applies here in context.
I think this is just Forde pretending he's a wordsmith.

I agree. How was it less intelligent when coach o knows how many players have tested positive and was just stating a fact.

Forde would be better off commenting for CNN than criticizing O. I’m a huge Dawg fan, but I truly respect O and his genuine personality.

While Coach O sits on a pile of cash and Pat Forde desperately tries to remain relevant in a dying profession.

Sports Karens demand SEC schools get on board with CDC recommendations. CDC recommends those who have tested positive don't have to retest for 90 days. Coach O points out that many LSU players have already had it and won't need to be retested for 90 days. Sports Karens call him unintelligent.

That’s very disappointing to hear.

I wouldn't call him unintelligent but this isn't something I would advertise either.
Why?

Orgeron will unintelligently outcoach everyone to another SEC championship and birth in the CFP with a fully loaded and HEALTHY team.
Takes a "stupid" Cajun to show the way herd immunity works.

I mean... there are certainly people I’d pick in the spelling bee before coach O came to mind

That would entail O is unintelligent in your example

I commented yesterday when someone was hammering on Les Miles that you should be careful calling someone stupid if they make 10x more money than you do. I think that applies here.

My thoughts are, I'd like to see Pat Ford say that within arms reach of Coach O.

I mean really, aren’t all these talking heads, article writers on the National Scene a bunch of leftist, babbling loons? Wojo may be OK. But look at Herby for example. They all don’t have a clue by and large.

Why would that be bad? Basically Fat Pat is saying that Ed O is not as disingenuous as he is. That reveals more about Pat than Coach Eaux.

I would bet that these kinds of things are merely fuel for Coach O to prove to himself how ignorant some folks can be. the man has proven more than capable of learning from mistakes...that is about as indicative of high intelligence as they come. Coach O has admitted he has made mistakes...and he obviously has learned from them. Making mistakes and repeating them is a sign of an idiot....learning from them is a sign of intellect.
LSU also benefits from the entire "y'all suck" mentality that is thrown their way from the rest of the SEC and CFB world. It is not as bad as LSU makes it seem but it is bad enough that it has created a serious community around the program which feeds off the slightest insult and does what is necessary to prove that shite wrong. Joe Burrow was the PERFECT candidate for this...dude didn't get the respect his talent obviously warranted...and he lit the world on fire to prove to himself they were wrong. As bad as I despise LSU as a UGA fan (and really have no issues with LSU other on the field and us losing to LSU LOL) you have to admit, at least to yourself, that something is working at LSU and at least part of that is the perecieved and real disrepect thrown their way....thay are making good use of both, damn their hides.
