It would either be Cam Newton or a healthy Tua Tagovailoa.

It depends, are we going by stats or are we going by shear will and having to carry the whole team on offense? If it’s stats then I’d say Burrow, but he had some playmakers to throw to. If it’s shear will of carrying the team on offense, Cam all day. That auburn squad wouldn’t have gotten to 8-4 w/o Cam.

Joe Namath. 1962 Bama/GA in Athens. Went with Dad. Namath was magic.

Charlie Ward or Brett Favre. I saw Favre beat Auburn in Jordan-Hare one day. Good times.

man it's so tough. I saw so many good ones that could torch a defense in so many ways.

Best overall college qb was probably Tebow. Dude was a great leader and could keep those guys together.

Best at Auburn was Cam or Marshall.

FSU I saw Casey Weldon sitting after 3 quarters every week and beating some good teams. Charlie Ward was exceptional in ways like tebow was.

Florida also had Grossman and Wuerfell.

UGA has so many over the years like Stafford, Fromm, Murray and Greene.

Croyle was a good one but had no coaching worth a shite.

All of these guys were really good and ones off the top of head.

Hard to name just one that I saw live in person:

Steve Grogan
Brett Favre - I knew when he was at USM, he was going to be a star in the NFL as well.
Don Smith
Reggie Collier
Dak
Jim Kelly-great QB and he is a really great person as well. Had an opportunity to meet him some years back and enjoyed a few minutes of conversation with him. He and the late Kent Hull were best of friends.

JOE BURROW. Think about what his numbers would have looked like had he played every snap. How many more TDs? 10-15?
Another 1k yards?

His numbers as-is are amazing!

Outside of the Longhorns (Vince would be that answer), mine are, in no particular order:

Joe Burrow in 2019 (probably the best I've seen in person, at least in regard to single-game performance)

Matt Lienart in 2005
Baker Mayfield in 2016
Troy Smith in 2006
Sam Bradford in 2008
Kyler Murray in 2018
Treyvon Boykin in 2014
Chad Heine in 2004 (guy was a true freshman just slinging it all over the Rose Bowl)

Guys I saw that I thought were overrated:

Sam Darnold in 2017
Geno Smith in 2012

Burrow was way better than Newton, Tebow, and Manziel.
