Does anyone else hate the fact the national championship is played on Monday?

I detest this with a passion. Why not have the national championship on a Saturday night as college football should be?

Never noticed. If we're not in it, why watch it? Otherwise, if we are, I'm taking that day off and the next day off, so what do I care?

Yep. No one should have to go to work or school on that day.

I agree with this. Would like to get hammered and not have to worry about work the following day

That reminds me, I need to see about taking that Monday and Tuesday off from work.

NFL playoffs are Saturday afternoon and evening / Sunday afternoon and evening during January.
That's why

I absolutely hate the "normal Monday" date.
I'm in favor of a New Year's Day final.
Semis the Saturday before Christmas,
Finals on New Year's Day

Not worth taking on NFL playoffs in primetime on Sat
That's the reason
Monday night you have the whole stage for college football only

Yeah but if your final is before the NFL playoffs you don't have that issue.

Yes. When Bama played UGA it was hell getting up and going to work the next morning. But #worthit

Yeah I guess a better question is, is anybody happy with the Monday Final that sometimes approaches mid-January (other than the TV people)?

Yes. I enjoy the national championship even though I pretty much quit watching most college football that doesn't involve SC. And even that I'm not watching right now. But a fricking Monday? I want to go out to the bar to watch the game and not feel like shite the next day at work.

I despise that there is a month break between conference championship games and the first playoff game, but I despise more that there is no break between the semis and the final.
They should move the semis back one week
