Delusion is believing that a statistically proven talent gap is going to be overcome because of a 10 win season that featured a +12 turnover margin but still resulted in a double digit loss to Georgia for a second straight year.

I was hoping Merlins would hire the guru to hypnotize a few of your players into transferring.
Might wanna focus on hiring people to ensure you're recruiting players that can get eligible... or get visas... or just get the top in-state athletes? All of the above would seem to be much higher priorities.

2 things UGa fans are adamant about:
1) Merlins started this shite
2) Talent gap not closing
Everything else is window dressing. Nevermind the hiring the Florida CB coach the week the #1 corner on our board is visiting UGa. That's not anywhere near as bad as a coach talking a little recruiting smack. But I digress. Merlins hath smited the good name of the Georgia Bulldogs coach and vengeance must be achieved! Or somethng to that effect.

I mean, did he not? He was the one that supposedly was making troll jabs about spring game numbers, mind you this was back in like April. I guess if anything "started" this (whatever THIS even is?) that was probably it.

Of course it's closING, but that doens't mean it's close. We've recruited at a top 2/3 clip nationally for several years, including one fo the best classes in the history of recruiting classes. Florida went from top 15ish range classes to a top 10 class. So yeah, I mean I guess on paper the ocean sized gap in talent is not as large as it once was, and is getting smaller, but it doesn't mean they're neck and neck.

1. Mullen May think he started this shite but it has been going on for over 100 years (though his history would indicate he is prone to those delusions of grandeur). He merely said something stupid and got some karmic retribution that has now snowballed into a really rough offseason.
2. The talent gap may have closed from McElwain but it’s still not close and it has showed over the past 2 years

Eh. I could make arguments both ways.

Cliff's Notes:
Jeremiah Holloman’s dismissal accentuated what had already been a bumpy offseason for the two-time defending SEC Eastern Division champs.
The Bulldogs’ spring and summer months have been filled with challenges and hurdles, from coaching changes to player attrition.
Key backups Justin Fields (QB, Ohio State) and Luke Ford (TE, Illinois) announced transfers immediately following Georgia’s 28-21 Sugar Bowl loss to Texas.
Smart learned last December that defensive coordinator Mel Tucker was leaving to become the head coach at Colorado.
Former UGA offensive coordinator Jim Chaney split for the Tennessee OC job the second week of January, nearly doubling his salary to take a parallel position.
The spring football session had its share of distractions, as well.
A string of six arrests in six weeks raised Smart’s ire. While Smart didn’t deem any of the misdemeanor incidents serious enough to warrant a public suspension, the fourth-year head coach made it clear he had reached his limit.
Then, in June, in a separate incident, Jeremiah Holloman is dismissed from the team 10 days after his girlfriend alleged that he struck her and choked her.
Also very interesting:
The Bulldogs leadership committee traveled to Florida last month for a beach getaway and a meeting with a renowned mental strength coach.
Senior J.R. Reed, who along with quarterback Jake Fromm and offensive tackle Andrew Thomas is in Hoover representing Georgia at the SEC Media Days, said it was a successful venture.
“Everything has been going great, we had a leadership retreat, I know some people saw that, where we came together as a group (in Florida),” Reed said during a community service appearance at Camp Sunshine.
I guess when all else fails, head to Florida and figure it out. Such an awesome state.
Damn, maybe a Gator fan should start a tread titled. Jawga - As the dog pound burns. Bad idea, UF fans are not obsessed enough to keep it going, we are bipolar after all.

No shite he is the worst troll, which really infuriates the trollee even more because he is so terrible at it.
I was all cringey yesterday when Mullen was speaking and was trying to be funny about Feilipe signing with the Red Sox and how he (Mullen) was a Red Sox fan.
Anyone else catch that? Terrible.

Nobody has said UGA doesn’t have its own share of bad news to contend with. All teams do. It’s just that Florida has quantifiably more bad news occurring at comparatively shorter intervals than anyone else, preceded by its head coach trying to get at Georgia to earn some cred with his fan base and players.

I think you should! The list would be half as big as the list on page 1 of this thread. That alone might prove to be embarrassing.
Crap, half the page you copied talks about the coaching staff going on a leadership retreat and names our players that went to SEC Media days. And then there is that horrible nugget about our DC taking a promotion to HC! That's embarrassing.

I'd say it started immediately after UGA won and Merlins made the comment about his freshman qb playing better than ours.

I break it down as "Jaw" as in always running their mouths
and ga as in the state of Georgia.
In a sentence it would be used like, Jawga fans always running their mouths.
Just like UG, University of Georgia. Not UGA. What's with the 3 letters? Georgia State i could understand GSU but University of Georgia = UG.

He didn’t say play better he simply said played. Fields didn’t see the field. I don’t see what is wrong with him saying a factual statement. Especially when he just recruited him and told him Kirby was lying about him having a shot to win the job.
