the difference in the pen now seems to be that whenever one guy is struggling, we have guys capable of coming in and getting out of jams. Before it would compound and get worse.
i have no stats to back that up, but in watching most games that has been my observation.
Also, even though Luke has blown a few recently, it seems like it is because of one bad pitch rather than just having one shitty outing after another. he's made a huge leap this year, but still has work to do if he wants to be a legit closer at this level.

I know I'm preaching to the choir but man, having Acuna, Albies, and Riley as a long-term core of guys is going to be great.

preach it brother...preach it.

Braves won by one. Julio really brought it and only allowed one earned run. The batters were sleepy or something til the 5th and then, pow! The Braves even survived their own bullpen and move up 1 1/2 games over that team coming tomorrow. Good luck Max

Time to crush those frickers this weekend.

This series is huge this weekend. It has a much bigger feeling than a mid-June matchup. We could pull away some and demoralize those sorry frickers.

feels different due to not having played them at all since the first series of the year. 16 of the final 93 games of the year are going to be against the Phillies.
in fact, 58 of the remaining 93 games are divisional games. braves finna eat!

Based on the starting pitchers, the first game might be the easiest for the Braves: Fried vs Pivetta. A little more worried about Newk vs Nola and Folty's game. But the Braves can sweep them too if the offense stays hot.

Does anyone know what the next move for Keuchel is?

I think Keuchel is going to make a start for Gwinnett soon and they'll decide if he's ready to pitch in the majors after that

Last night was one of the best games at STP so far. Especially beating the fillies.
