We are going to love the guys we get tomorrow. They were our top choices and the best of the best at their positions. As for the guys we miss on, the coaches didn’t really push for them too hard. A few with grade issues, bad attitudes, and guys that had already peaked. As always, things are fluid. Stay tuned...

Is it ok if I share this on another site and use you as my source? I won’t actually name you. I swear.

Well, it puts the schools and coaches in a dilemma. Do they what and see if the “big time” recruit will sign in February? Or do they give a kid lower on the board a green light because he will sign early? I remember last year, LSU waited to sign a few players and got burned. Do we wait for someone like Washington or give Pegues the green light? - FWBFLlaw

Unless Nick knows which of these Jr's are staying or leaving then he will have to sign more come Feb. We're talking 5 or 6 schollys that will be open if they all go to the NFL. - JoseyWalesTheOutlaw

I think Bama will push to sign Pegues early and then push to sign Washington too. There's need and room for both:

With so many Tide players graduating in 3 years nowadays, the 85 limit isn't really a constraining factor in how many recruits Bama can take.

Due to Caden Clark's severe knee injury in Nov, it's unlikely he'll be able to practice and play next fall. So, it makes sense for Bama to take him via a voluntary withdrawal replacement scholly (only counts vs 85 limit) or grayshirt (enroll Jan 2021; counts vs 2021 limit).

Commits not signing early: Burroughs (grades), Baker (grades), Jones, George, plus Clark = 5.
25 commits - 5 = 20 early signee commits.

Priorities for Early Signing Period - Dec. 18-20
(Early signees^ / enrollees* | February signees°)
28 spots - 20 early signee commits = 8 targets:
RB - Jase McClellan*
WR- Arian Smith^ &/or Rakim Jarrett°
TE - Darnell Washington° &/or JJ Pegues^
OL - Broderick Jones°
DL - Jordan Burch^ &/or McKinnley Jackson°
LB - Phillip Webb^

Makes sense. Saban has done this a very long time, and I am not going to start second guessing him now. I said it earlier, give me Bryce Young and everything else is gravy.

I'm happy that that gravy will include multiple ILBs 6'3" or taller. With Saban's emphasis on length, I don't get how after McMillon and Moses, we don't have an ILB over 6'2" on the roster. Hell, our starting Mike was 6' this year.

2016 Bamna recruiting class that was ranked #1

24 signed and 10 of them ain't it (many gone). It's not science even for one Nick Saban. I understand the chase for being #1. Saban hitting on just over 50%.

His picks haven’t changed.. besides that we really are in it for JJ.. and Washington is holding off his signing. Other than that it’s still the same

Last year the guys film I liked a lot was EBOIGBE . Think he lived up to it also. This year it’s Kennedy. Flies to the football and violent when he gets there

A year or so in S&C program and he will be a beast

Agree on Eboigbe but I think we may have put to much weight on him this yr.
The weight Davis(99) put on between 1 and 2 yr seem to really set him back.
I would maybe say the same about LaBryan Ray , but the injury did not let him play long enough to say for sure.
But he looked much quicker his freshmen YR.
Hence why Eboigbe looked much quicker coming out of high school.
I understand we play the 3-4 and want Our ends to play heavier via stoping the run.
But we are giving up maybe (?) to much explosiveness.
