Manziel. the Heisman and all of the hype surrounding him was over 1 win over Alabama that in hindsight was inconsequential.

He's often credited with winning two national championships, but the reality is Chris Leak was the starter for the first one.
Leak was one-dimensional in the red-zone - and in 3rd down situations. No way Florida wins that Natty without Tebow on 3rd downs and in the Red Zone.
Leak was strictly a drop-back QB. He couldn't (or wouldn't) run the Meyer/Mullen Read-Option. Tebow was made for it.

Tebow is definitely overrated.
It's clear the talent around him made him look MUCH better than he actually was...now that we know how limited he was as far as his skills go.

No! Tim was a great college football player. We're not talking about the NFL!!! And he sure as hell was not thug like your boy Johnny F Football.

How many Championships did Johnny Football win?

Tebow was one of the greatest all-around athletes to ever play in the SEC. Also one of the greatest winners.
He makes Manziel look like a clown, on and off the field.

Seems like Tebow gets a lot of credit for the year Chris Leak led the Gators just because of name recognition.
If your goal was a Tebow jerk off session then you were highly successful.

If I rubbed a genie's lamp and could come up with an imaginary college football team of my choosing to play an imaginary college football game against the toughest of opponents in the most difficult of circumstances/conditions, he'd be on the short list to play QB.
And I'm quite aware of the flashier folks with greater physical tools and greater ability to freestyle and create something out of nothing. And you'll note that I specifically said "college football game."
So the answer is a great big negatory.

Not over-rated. Tebow had one of the most accomplished careers in NCAA D1 history.

No, It's got to be Kyler Murray. He didn't do shite when he was in the SEC and he won the heisman. Way overrated.

Is Tebow the most overrated SEC player of all-time
How can that be when he won 2 natty's and a Heisman. Manzel on the other hand was overrated for the pro's but was very good in college.

It is hard to say since there have been so many overrated players from the SEC.
