A lot of us can't figure out why they stopped running Holyfield and Swift. Fromm could not hit the side of a barn on Sat plus receivers were very well covered most of the time. Kirby and Chaney got terribly out-coached by LSU's D coordinator on Sat.
Florida game should be a slobber knocker in two weeks.

He has 2 weeks to prepare and rep Fields to be the starter in Jacksonville. You would think with being with Saban so long and seeing what happened in the NC Game last year Kirby would have learned a lesson or two.
Kirby is loyal to a fault. Fromm has always been his guy and he was a play away from a National Title. I just don’t see Kirby making the change.
In fairness to the Saban decision, I’m sure Tua was a better option against a team like Auburn but he stuck with his guy. If Hurts doesn’t go full retard in the first half of the title game, who knows what happens in regards to Bamas QB depth chart.

If kirby stays with Fromm while he continues to play like he has, then Fields is gone. Only can hope Kirby realizes Fromm's limitations and makes the switch, otherwise it'll be a tough next couple of years.

I think Kirby has until week 4 next year to make a decision. Fromm is on track to graduate early so he carries a lot less risk when it comes to transferring, think current Bama scenario.
If Kirby sticks with Fromm, I would not hate Fields for transferring. He’s too good to hold a clipboard and run a wildcat.

But would you hate Kirby? I think I would if I was a Dawgs fan.

I doubt that. I think there's the potential for him to leave before the year is over if Fromm keeps playing terrible and Fields keeps getting no playing time. My brother played baseball at Harrison with Fields and I've heard from some people that know Fields dad that have said he claims the only reason Fields isn't starting is politics. Kirby was Fromm's main recruiter at bama and then Fromm followed Kirby to UGA, so Kirby is letting his loyalty to Fromm be his downfall. If Fields isn't the starter by next year he will leave. If Fromm keeps his job while playing poorly this year, Fields will leave.

Saban has been the same way in his 11 years here and it has hurt us in a few games. Most notably in the 2010 and 2013 and 2014 seasons.
As an outsider looking in I think it would be in Kirby's best interest to put Fields in the Florida game in a predetermined series and let the kid run with the whole playbook and see what happens.

Who knows for sure, probably not, they were ranked #2 for a reason after all.
The real question is will people be thinking the same thing about about your team in 2 weeks.
I wouldn't say that, even if your team happens to lose, but maybe others will think that.

Probably!
After all all of the other "so-called" "top 10 wins" on LSU's schedule have turned out to be frauds.
Auburn unranked,
Miami unranked,
Georgia in a few weeks possibly un-ranked?
"But, But, But, they were over ranked when we played them", says Every LSU homer!

The Fromm kid is getting a bad rap. The guy was completing 70% of his passes coming into Saturday- and now suddenly people are calling for his head.
You can't expect him to have a lot of success when he's constantly running for his life. Georgia abandoned the run- allowing our guys to basically tee off on Fromm the rest of the afternoon. Thanks, BTW.
But seriously- give the kid a break. He's a helluva QB when he has adequate pass protection.

I agree...that game will tell me all I need to know about 2018 UGA.
Don't be surprised if they lose to Kentucky too

Except he wasn't running for his life. He's held the ball way too long all year. He's missed deep ball throws all year. He rode Chubb and Michel to the playoffs and that created the illusion of him being a decent QB. His sack that essentially sealed the game for LSU, the one that took us out of FG position when a FG would've made it a 7 point game, he held the ball for an eternity. The kid has no pocket presence.
