I'm no defender of the GOBN, but the primary knock on the previous regime - most notably Long - was that they didn't give a shite about wins and losses.

Bret sucked that enjoyment out of me for a while. Besides, Morris is painful to watch. I’m tired of slogans and cool little phrases. Maybe if they got rid of the forward facing Hog and could somehow strike #Uncommon from my memory I’d be a little bit less cynical.
I thought Dabo was a compete doofus his first year or two at Clemson with the profound enthusiasm, catch phrases and coachspeak. I see what Morris's aim is.

So, you're saying no one gives to shits about being like the rest of the SEC schools and be a win-at-all-costs university? Sounds about par for the course for Arkansas...

Merrick still starting over Gibson.
Starting to look like bert played favorites and didn't like this kid and refused to play him in favor of some freshman who got whooped last season.

Interesting. Was really hoping Montaric Brown would fill that gap. Hopefully he doesn’t end up being a bust.

Montaric likely replaces Santos after next season. Mason will probably be the SS down the line.

Day 3 Update from Andrew Hutchinson at 247:
LINK
FAYETTEVILLE -- The Razorbacks resumed spring practice on a cold, windy day in Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday.
It was their third practice and they were in full pads once again. Despite a 39-degree windchill and 24-mile-per-hour winds that forced coaches and observers to put on jackets and sweatshirts, Arkansas was also once again outside on the practice fields.
Here are a few notes Hawgs247 managed to jot down while also taking pictures during the 30-minute open session and before our hands froze:
Movement on the QB Depth Chart?
We always caution people not to read too much into things like this, but Ty Storey was at the front of the quarterback stretch line during the pre-practice portion open to the media. That is a change from the first two practices, when Cole Kelley was at the front and Storey was behind him.
It may also just be a reward for how practice ended Saturday. During the two-minute drill, Kelley's drive stalled thanks to an interception by Ryan Pulley, while Storey capped his drive with a touchdown pass to Michael Woods.
Head coach Chad Morris has said multiple times that he probably won't start narrowing down the depth chart - including quarterback - until after Saturday's scrimmage. The entire scrimmage will be open to the media, so we should get a good picture on who's leading the competition then.
Offensive Line Depth Chart
Arkansas' starting offensive line at the moment appears to be Colton Jackson at left tackle, Hjalte Froholdt at left guard, Dylan Hays at center, Jalen Merrick at right guard and Brian Wallace at right tackle. The only real surprise in that group is Merrick, who never seemed to get a chance to see the field under the previous coaching staff.
Hawgs247 didn't actually witness it, but another media member told us that Merrick threw teammate Audry Horn through the air on one rep during individual drills. That is a great sign for the Razorbacks because he was a highly touted four-star recruit who turned down a lot of big-time offers - like from Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Ohio State - to come to Fayetteville.
The second unit appears to be Shane Clenin at left tackle, Kirby Adcock at left guard, Ty Clary at center, Johnny Gibson Jr. at right guard and Dalton Wagner at right tackle. That was pieced together based on left-side and right-side drills during individual work.
Defensive Line Depth Chart
Hawgs247 also spent some time with the defensive line and the first unit to go through drills against trashcans included McTelvin Agim and Randy Ramsey at defensive end and Jonathan Marshall and T.J. Smith at defensive tackle. The second unit featured Gabe Richardson and Michael Taylor II at defensive end and Armon Watts and Jake Hall at defensive tackle.
Ramsey, Richardson and Taylor played the "Hog" outside linebacker position in last year's 3-4 defense, but have moved to defensive end in this year's 4-3 defense.
Tight Ends
It's hard to know if the order in which the tight ends ran a route with the quarterbacks actually matters, but here is the order they went while Hawgs247 was watching: Jeremy Patton, Austin Cantrell, Will Gragg, Cheyenne O'Grady, Grayson Gunter and then the walk-ons.
At one point, Patton tried to catch a pass with one hand and dropped it. Tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. jumped him pretty good, screaming, "Use two hands!"
Pettway Rumor
Contrary to the rumors on Hogville and that some of our VIP subscribers asked about on our message board, wide receiver La'Michael Pettway was still in a white practice jersey and warmed up with the offense, indicating that he has not moved to safety. That doesn't mean that couldn't happen down the line, but it does seem to be a little premature.

The videos aren’t out yet but apparently Dre Greenlaw said that the 1’s are most likely him, Scoota and Grant Morgan. No word on the backups though.

I wonder if this is at all related to Curl moving to safety or if it was just always BS

Right on. Was wondering the backups and who was at outside after so many moved to DE.

People started Pettway moved to S the day of the first practice.
It was never in the media or mentioned by a coach though.

This kid should have had a spot on the OL the last couple of years. Bert never could get over grudges and Anderson fell right in with him.

I swear forever ago I heard merrick had really slow plodding feet. Which if true I would have blamed the staff for sucking dick at evaluating him, but he was a 4 star with a bunch of good offers and that meant others did as well.
I have since then decided merrick did something to piss fatass off, and Bert never let it go. I remember when we had like 3rd string players playing due to injury on the o line that he didn't get out on the field, someone tweeted that this staff must really not like him. Merrick liked that tweet. I think something was going on for them to act like he didn't even exist. Maybe merrick told Bert that flip flops, and Bob Marley sucked dick?

I swear Bert and Anderson drew names out of a hat every week before games last year to see who would play o-line.
