The issue is if he is drunk on the job. Not if he drinks after he is done working.

I like to drink too. Lots of folks do. This is interesting to me though because there are some pretty persistent rumors floating around that this guy goes a little too hard in the paint at times and may have run afoul of a moral turpitude clause in his contract.
Which means Arkansas could possibly not have to pay him a buyout at all. Which is good.

He is sucking as a HC and we want to think that only Alcohol has something to do with it.
Nahh, I could crap faced drunk, coach our current talent to more wins than CBB and, I don't drink often at all, never coached either.
I also do believe he was drunk during the presser... Valium maybe

I firmly believe this is true. All a person would have to do is order his position coaches to play our most talented players at every position and set a mandate that TJ Hammonds gets at least 8 touches every game.

I thought it was well known that Bert liked the sauce.
Wouldn't surprise me if he was intoxicated during the presser.

Dude, you can’t post shite like this without a link to a video or story. I was getting excited, and now I’m pissed.

I doubt any of it’s true considering you never hear it from someone that actually witnessed it personally. Considering you can take a video and post it to social media pretty much instantly, I would say that there is zero chance of him being embarrassingly drunk in public without folks capturing it.

I've talked to folks up here that claim to have personally saw him making a fool of himself when he was in Madison. But being a young, single head coach who gets shitfaced doesn't necessarily translate to his actions at Arkansas several years later.

It's true, but it's always on his own time. It's not anything most of us haven't done, but if someone were to ever sneak a video of it, it would be embarrassing for him and the program.
And there are plenty of witnesses to this.

Watched the presser, he looked and sounded stone cold sober to me. He did look like he could use a drink though.

I have as well.
and 3 different people in AR that said the same, as in they've been around him when he does.
I don't give a flying frick if a coach gets drunk after games/practicing, as long as he's getting it done on the field.

Same. If he won 10 games here, I'd (attempt to) drag his massive, drunken, lifeless body all the way down Dickson street to keep him out of trouble.

There's only a couple AR sports guys that bring accurate, unbiased, positive OR negative info to the table and Irwin isn't one of them. Strangely he has legitimate connections and knows in-depth whats going on privately (see the things he knows and NOW shares regarding Nutt and Petrino), he just doesn't share it unless it's got a positive spin or he can add one.
I'm sure he thinks towing the company line is what keeps his connections and I'm sure that's true to some degree, but every AR reporter has the same schtick and he isn't separating himself from the pack by doing what he does.
In my experience, Eric Bolin and Danny West to a lesser degree are the only ones willing to call it like it is. Not sure how the folks I talk to in NWA would like it, but I often think about doing my own writing/articles in the same (but more polished) vein that I post here. Not sure where I could get that going, but there's an obvious market and need for reporting that isn't written through rose colored glasses. That's been a problem for as long as I can remember.

Media members have to consider their audience. MOST Arkansas fans just want to be told that everything is going to be alright.
Telling it "like it is" might get you some clicks in the short term, but do that for too long and the fans will turn on you for being too negative because they are in fact still fans, whereas writers like Bolin are not.
