Didn't they win the SEC basketball tournament or SEC basketball championship one year?
If so, why didn't they have game(s) based on this?

Because the SEC Network does the same damned thing every year, and after a few years, schools are finally starting to take on "themes" because it is stale and boring. Didn't Carolina do something with the Clowney Hit?
Here we have an entire thread of SEC fans discussing Arkansas' takeover day on the SECN. If we had just played the predictable boring regular stuff, nobody would notice or care.

The MOB isn't a 10th of a percent as creative as South Park.

Maybe, but they triggered the frick out of the Aggies in 1973 (I think).
They made fun of the aggy bitch dog mascot, so the aggy toy soldiers surrounded the stadium exit, trying to keep the Rice band from leaving their own stadium in Houston. What putzes.
But then again, it's not very hard to trigger aggy.

The Rice band, called "The Mob," did an on-the-field imitation of the A&M Marching band Saturday, playing an off-tune version of the Aggie fight song and marched, World War II Nazi-style, but out of time and step.
quote:
"We certainly did not intend any offense to Aggie traditions last Saturday," said Rice Band Director Bert Roth in an apology. "But if our presentation was offensive to anyone, we wish to extend our sincere and genuine apology."
Sure they didn't.
Yeah, the Cadets wanted to have a few words with those hippies, post-game.
They probably should've just let it go; but such is life in the Corps.

That would be the song "Mickey Mouse." It sounds strikingly like aggy loser war hymn, especially when blended back to back.

I am totally serious. The Longhorn Band would also occasionally play it.
The last time I remember it was the 1995 Baylor game, which was on Thanksgiving, and which was the last Southwest Conference game in Austin. The Longhorn Band, after stats being announced by Wally Pryor for every Southwest Conference team, then played each school's fight song.
Your time started out with the regular whore hymn fight song, then morphed into Mickey Mouse. Lots of laughs at the expense of aggy (again).
You see, you aggys were on probation (again) in 1994 and could not play on TV that year, which was why Baylor was on Thanksgiving (a two-game deal), so it was appropriate.

Where did I say I didn't believe you?
I did find this kinda odd though:
The fact that (a) somewhere, someone created such a sound byte, and that (b) you took the time to listen to it is wild.

Here's what you listen to, every time your goofy band plays your fight song:
"The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You" (to that very tune), "...that is the song they sing so well SOUNDS LIKE HELL."
So blank you and your righteous indignation.

You can say the word; I can take it .
Not sure what you're referring to as my righteous indignation, but you no longer have to hear that song played; so I'm at a loss as to why you're bugged by it.

That shite's about as lame as "We Rule This State."
Aggy always ends up playing the fool.
