Well that's just dumb, but McElwain is a terrible HC and will set their program a long way in terms of public perception.
They hated Muschamp, but he's much much better than McElwain.
I'd say Mac will set their program back years, but we saw how fast a good HC could get them on the right path again when Urban took over from Zook... granted Zook wasn't there too long and Meyer wasn't too far removed from Spurrier, and the next guy after Mac will be close to a decade removed from Meyer so it'll be a little tougher. But theres enough talent in the area and Florida is a good enough draw that it shouldn't take too long for the right guy.

Did you finish high school?
Do you have to get to your sidewalk spot early on game day?
Don't worry about your sister selling the wheels from under your house. You can punish her later with that 4" monster.

I remember when I lived in Gainesville, FL, and Gator fans said the same thing about Alabama. They sounded just as dumb as the OP.

There's been a lot of weird threads about Florida lately.

Are you really that stupid to think that Miami is a better option for a football player, than Gainesville? Maybe you are that stupid. Also way to back yourself into a corner . They will have good teams and bad teams just like everyone else.

They have a better chance than Tennessee does. The Tennessee boat sailed last century (which is the last time Tennessee won a SEC Title).

Not sure why a fan of a program with 11 national championships feels threatened by a fan of a program with 3 national championships.
Saying Florida will never be elite again is ludicrous. They will always be Elite. They will have down periods like all successful programs. But no matter what, thug or no thugs, Florida is already an established elite program.

Florida easily has the tools to get back to elite status. With that said, I don't believe McElwain is the guy that will take them back to that level.
The last time Florida had a team that was elite was 2009. Since then, there's been a lot of mediocre. Even their "good" teams have looked soft at times.
Their best team Post-Tebow was the 2012 team. But that team still got waxed by Louisville in a bowl game. They only beat Missouri (5-7) and Louisiana Lafayette each by a single touchdown. That team falls in line with the two most recent Florida teams: Decent record but just not very impressive when watching them.

I love you sarcasm. You baited the hook nicely for the haters.

Bama is on a great run, when that run ends, it will be the Gators that end it! Sooner or later, it will happen.

Hook looking tempting to LSU fans, but this thread is about the Gators...
