How does this man still have his job? what convenience could this possibly provide for the athletic department?
ETA: Does anyone else see potential for the most awkward spring game since Penn State's in 2012?

I do not believe anything on his future will be decided until after they go before the COI. If the LOIC charge sticks, he and the AD are both gone.

He is holding out for The Rapture.

It's probably a money thing. The longer they retain him the less they'll owe him when they fire him and I'd bet that there's a difference between receiving an NOA and having the NCAA find you guilty when it comes to firing him for cause.
Beyond that, I don't think it does them any particular good to get rid of him now. OM let the goodwill ship sail on that by waiting too long. And it's not exactly a hiring cycle and coaches that might take the job are going to want to negotiate from the known (post-NCAA decisions) rather than the unknown.
I wouldn't touch the situation without knowing what the penalties are going to be.

Freezus already knows when the Rapture will occur and who will be taken up. He is the Alpha Dog and the Omega Man.

Couple of Black Bear fans here, not claiming any inside scoop but saying the same thing separately, say that the HC & the A.D. are tied at the hips together over this. One goes down, the other goes with him. Makes sense that if that is the case, the Black Bears won't get rid of Freeze now, knowing they could lose the A.D. as well.

Because there is no evidence of him doing or knowing of any wrongdoing.

So you're saying the LOIC charge is basically a given to be upheld?
Interesting.

In no way shape or form did I say that. I say the NCAA is trying to throw a hail mary and hope it sticks. They better hope the COI agrees with their methods to get information because they lived in the gray area. It bit them in the arse in the Miami investigation and that program had 10x the money proven to be handed out than what they have found on us in 5 years.

Do you honestly believe this, or is this just a message board persona talking point?

No someone who has actually read the first NOA the response and read multiple sources information on the 2nd NOA. People want to believe a narrative that isn't there.
People beware of click bait college football articles...

Your grammatic skills leave me highly skeptical about your ability to read and understand the NOAs or the responses
