When we hire Archie Miller or Fred Hoiberg, we'll instantly be back to finishing in the top 4 of the SEC ever year. Lol at all the fear in this and other threads. Louisiana produces a lot of basketball talent and we have a fairly new practice facility to go along with our 12k seat arena, which pushes our hoops facilities near the top of the SEC.

Why? They aren't going to attract a good coach.
You think they won't get someone better than Jones?

Kermit Davis would probably go back to LSU. He's lost 4 games at MTSU and can't break the top 25. He was associate HC at LSU for quite some time.

Is Bobby Hurley still at Buffalo?

What a shitty move to announce it ahead of time.
"Hey bro, we're going to can your arse in a few days. No hard feelings though, so keep working like nothing is wrong."
Is there any school at any level or any sports organization in the country that handles firing coaches worse than LSU?

To be fair, anyone with a pulse has thought jones would be fired for some time now. It's widely accepted that not firing him until after the season was a courtesy extended to an alum who loves LSU, and is a really nice guy. He's just an awful coach

What's so terrible? lol He's lucky to finish the season.

It's the logical move: don't want to fire him now and possibly derail the team's chances of winning the SECT by distracting it.....

Is there anything you dont get butthurt about?

This is exactly my point. Only LSU would think it's a good thing to fire a coach mid-season for anything short of a full blown scandal.

Good thing the regular season is over then

Is there a bench coach they can promote?

Clearly I was responding to the what the poster said. LSU fans have been bringing up the idea of firing him mid-season since early January.
And it's still poor handling to announce it with any games left to play, even if it is just 1.
