Tre had a dynamic running quarterback to keep the defense honest on read plays. Sean White and Jeremy Johnson? Not so much.

Probably the most important difference. Our edge players aren't going to get stuck with their feet in the ground trying to read the QB.

Bama fans won't admit it but Auburns run game has had a good bit of success against Saban.
Yeah thats not gonna happen

And Auburn ran for 323 on Georgia in 2013. How'd that help in 2016?

Marshall also posed a run threat that kept Alabama honest. White doesn't have that

Cadillac Williams went off in 2003. That is just as relevant as 2013 on this year's game.

What's the difference between the defenses in 2013 and now?

Bama is going to take a gigantic shite on your team

It happens on average about once per year under CNS since Bama turned it around 2008 and forward. To be specific, only 7 rushers from 2008 to 2015 rushed for over 100 yds against Saban's teams.
The next closest team was LSU allowing only 25 100+ yd rushers in the same period.
Coming into this year, Bama has only allowed 33 of its 103 FBS opponents to rush for 100 yds (only 32% of teams played).
So, yes, Bama is about due this year for a 100 yd rusher. But, it still won't help even if it does happen.
SDS: Surprise, Bama is pretty damn good against the run even if Tre Mason got 150+ in 2013.

Adrian Hubbard was just bad.
I remember at the 2009 natl champ game. I asked Luginbill in person what he thought of Hubbard. He told me that he reminded him of Julius Peppers.
Sometimes you strike out.

Auburn fans cling mighty tightly to their last minute fluke victories over Alabama, pretty much the corner stones of their program.
Keep buying those lottery tickets and dreaming big.
Every now and then you win!
Of course in between those shooting stars Alabama is piling up SEC and National Titles.

The 2013 Alabama Dline was Adrian Hubbard, Brandon Ivory, Jeoffery Pagan, Ed Stinson.
Good Lord that D line was frustrating, literally never got pressure unless we blitzed the house. I hated watching Hubbard, slowest I've ever seen get off the line, Bobby Greenwood shits on Hubbard all day. Same with Ivory and Stinson, they blew so bad.

Dude, our 2013 defense was thin and one of sabans least talented. Not close to this one.
Bigger deal is u don't have Nick Marshall. White ain't gonna run for a hundred yds. You get beat by two tds in 2013 without Marshall. Accounting for him opened up room for mason.

Forget Pettaway for a second, will Jalen Hurts derp his way through a game like he did against an FCS school last week? Auburn has a very good defense, on par with LSU's I'd say. And I fully expect Bama to start slow with the SEC West wrapped up and Auburn has nothing to lose.

Bama's defense is about the game as 2013
This Bama team already has way more TFLs and almost twice as many sacks through 11 games as that 2013 team had through 13 games.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like Auburn had success running the ball last year in the first half but went away from it in the second half.
This is reminding me of the leadup to the 2014 game, actually. A hurt Auburn team looks like shite against UGA then lights shite up once their guys come back against Bama. Only this time they have a defense.
