Halftime of the Michigan vs Michigan State game the commentator said Auburn hasn't played a difficult schedule (SOS #28) and most of our wins are close wins (what?) then went on to say SDSU is likely going into the NCAA tournament undefeated and to prepare for them to be a #1 seed because they are for real.

SDSU may be for real...but saying our schedule is soft and then falsely asserting we are barely winning is crazy.

Isn’t he the guy that picked us to lose in every round of the tournament last year?

FWIW no movement for us in the Net. We stayed #6. Also we are holding steady as a projected 2 seed in the NCAA Tourney on Bracket Matrix.

NC State lost to Clemson on the road. At one time they were a Q1 win. Now they are a Q2 win. No Q1 wins now. 5-0 vs Q2, which is really good. Miss State is 77 in the net, if they get into top 75 they will be a Q1 win.

I don’t understand the hatred for Bruce that many other opposing coaches seem to have. Not sure if he runs them the wrong way during Games or if it was his run ins with the ncaa.

A lot of it is an old grudge. Decades ago, the Deon Thomas incident. He broke the Omertà of the profession, and that saw him blackballed and forced into the lower divisions before he could jump back to D1. Folks from some coaching trees refuse to work with him to this day as a result.

Says a lot about the goings on in college basketball behind closed doors that the DT incident made BP such a pariah even after decades

Many more despicable things have been done and forgiven since then.

It was rehashed a lot by a lot of a-hole sportswriters last year when we made our Final Four run. Nancy Armour is the one I remember off hand. Wrote an article saying CBP symbolizes the rot of college basketball.

I was laughing hard at the bammers that kept holding up that article as some sort of indictment of Pearl, when the coaches we thrashed - Bill Self, Roy Williams and John Calipari - are all guilty of just as much, if not worse.

Total bullshite. How dare Auburn punch above its historical weight.

Isn’t snitching regularly involved in CFB?
Urban Meyer
Dan Mullen
Maryland didn’t want to play Chase Young
Miss State and Ole Miss

are all a few recent examples

According to Tom Green, this is the first time in 20 years that Auburn has been in the Top 5 in the AP
