Fournette looked intimidated

Plus GA had an NCAA record holding QB against Bama.

We can agree to disagree. I don't think LF is special. He lacks break away speed, and is not as powerful as Henry to power yards against big LBers.

Mcfadden had 195 yards in the past against bama.

So you've never actually watched Fournette play outside of against Bama?

That was one of the worst coached games I have ever witnessed. Almost as bad as 21-0.
I don't understand why people are downvoting you and arguing. Maybe they're missing your point?
LF did all that he could considering that Alabama was selling out against the run, and Cameron called a run play up the middle almost the entire game. Alabama has NFL players in their front seven. NFL players don't get out-muscled or out-athlete'd by anyone ESPECIALLY if the play calls are predictable.

Chubb got most of his yards on one garbage time play.
I'm pretty sure Bama's whole D line is headed to the draft after this year. It's not really surprising that LF7 couldn't do anything when running the ball.

Did we forget about 7.3 ypc and 146 yards Chubb rushed for earlier this season? I mean, the guy is hurt, not dead.

Yes, he did. LSU fans need to quit ignoring the fact that he was hesitant all night. There wasn't much there, but that doesn't change the way he tiptoed around for most of the night.

If we are talking last night with the exact same game plan LSU used? Then no, I doubt anyone would have done better. When you have to dodge two or three guys a couple of yards behind the line of scrimmage every time you run the ball its hard to look good.
Bama loaded up the box and LSU did not have the passing firepower to make them back off.

He was getting hit by 2-3 defenders in the backfield, on almost every run.

I don't know about intimidated but certainly frustrated, and he started to try to do too much as a result. A couple of the times he was hit in the back field he could have at least gotten back to the line if he turned it up earlier.

I feel for LSU fans. Their team just lost a potential NC, and a Heisman Trophy in 4 quarters. Orchestrated by nick saban and delivered by a nasty defense.

I'd say about half of them. On several of his runs there was a chance to get 4-5 yards by just hitting the hole hard, like he has all season. He hesitated almost every time.
I'm not trying to say he's overrated, because I don't think he is. I just think his Oline shitting the bed and him getting hit in the mouth early rattled him.

Excuses, excuses, excuses...

Why would I watch him run against shitty D's? He is not elite. Sorry you have a hard time seeing reality.
