I wouldn't say that. Moved the chains, protected the ball, passed for a score and ran for over an 8 ypc average and two more touchdowns.

Harris ran the ball well. Nice pass on that out route to the right sideline that was incomplete.

Mistake on the pass that hung Jeter up. He made a nice catch but Harris can't lead him into a hit like that. Also Harris should've completed that pass in the back of the end zone but he threw it high.

Some also forget the state game was the first game of the season....had some rust to get off. Auburn game he missed 2 receivers on bad passes...every other incompletion the ball hit the receiver in the hands. He managed the game and never tried to force any bad throws and ran when he needed to. He will catch his stride....not worried in the least.

Unfortunately you were playing Auburn last weekend. LSU is probably 5th best in the SEC right now, and it's because you don't have a good QB.

That TD pass to Jeter was BIG TIME accurate! Small window between the sideline and the trailing defender, and Harris put the ball right in Jeters eyeballs... With both he and Jeter in an all out Sprint. The only thing Harris needs to work on is learning to get mid-level passes out before the break and to not overthrow so much. BUT, he is getting exponentially more comfortable, and when he does get that adrenaline in order, he will be DYNAMITE!

He only had 1 passing TD vs Auburn right? How many did he get against State?

He missed 3 or 4 open WRs BADLY against us. And he did very little to beat us.

He did sail a few out of the back of the end zone, and thew an uncatable fade. The receivers were covered, but a perfect throw would have scored. I'm guessing he's getting coached to throw it where the defender has no shot and favor a throwaway over int. Perfectly sound given the running game success.

Also, he had a nice first down strike before the game was out of hand and some great runs.

He has shown flashes of being a really good QB and he has also thrown a few ugly balls as well. The bottom line is that he hasn't done anything to get us beat, which is priority #1. If we want to be serious NC contenders he's going to have to do more but we've got a little bit of a soft spot in the schedule coming up for him to continue to develop.

it was still a pretty good ball but just not a spot you want to put your receiver in.
