Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are officially in. Romney is out.

Hillary is (unsuprisingly) supposedly announcing her candidacy on Sunday via social media.

Still early 2015, but any thoughts on the primaries?

I'd take just about anybody on either side as long as it's not Cruz or Clinton.

I'm still on the Colbert/Stewart pain train.

Meh. He panders far more than his father ever did. No need to pander to the far right fricksticks that are going to vote Republican regardless.

He's no Libertarian. He's a Republican trying to wear Libertarian clothing.

Clinton gets derailed again: too many negatives, too much baggage, too much livin' in the past.

I think it's the other way around. He's got to get nominated to win, and so he's been playing the game.

He's been playing said game for a long time, if so. As far back as 2009, he made statements that lean more far right than any Libertarian ever would.

I agree, and I'm hoping to keep the conversation on legit candidates who stand a chance to get either the GOP or Dem nominations.

Well if he didn't have his far right views then the republicans would probably never consider him a republican they would just classify him as a libertarian.

Yes, really. Maybe you should read a little about his views on abortion or drugs. Both fall under states rights. He doesn't feel that those matters should be left up to the states. Except for medical marijuana. And ectopic pregnancies. Etc.

Do those sound like Libertarian stances? Because they're not.

You mean when he saw his dad's message could sell but needed broader support to ever get a shot at the nomination?

He doesn't need to pander to the far right, and those are the people that he's pandering to. Do you think that they're going to vote for the Democrat? frick no. They're going to vote Republican... period. Is there a better Republican candidate out there?

If those aren't his stances, he should fricking say what they are.
