Funny that the two Bama games listed, the Tide was held way below its season average in scoring, yet LSU fans now blame Chavis for those losses
Come on mane, you know the defense shite the bed in 12 on the screen pass and sims ran right down the field in 14

Because they got KS as a replacement ...and they know what the end result will be.

I'm fine with him going. we probably needed some fresh blood. I don't think Steele is as advanced of a DC mind as Chavis but if he's a good LB coach and Coach O for DL, I'm hopeful we can do well. Better than Chavis? I don't know... but LSU fans have been vocal of the bend but don't break defense that Chavis employed. As far as Saban goes, I'm glad he got our program back on track and won LSU a National Championship. Cheers.

The obsession this board has with LSU/Chavis is hilarious.

Strange that you are watching Tiger Tv as an Auburn fan
So those were some classic Chavis melters
Enjoy A+M

LSU fans telling us that losing Chavis is no big deal and blathering on about his poor coaching, etc.... All the while the LSU lawyers are seeking damages because Chief's hasty exit hurt LSU's reputation and they are seeking compensation for the negative impact of ticket sales and potential loss of recruits?
We've been told that JC never recruited and his departure would have zero affect on recruiting. And loss of ticket sales????? WTF are these LSU lawyers up to?

#1 on that list had two of the HIGHLY touted recruits in perfect position to make a tackle and they both whiffed.

As for Chavis as a coach, he was a good coach for LSU, but not quite worth the hype, to be honest.
Your offense was absolute dog shite last year, couldn't stay on the field, leaving the defense completely exposed... and Chavis still had the top ranked defense in the conference.

Not at all mad about Chavis leaving, but I believe all parties involved could've handled it better. I think LSU could've done better than Steele at DC. I'll reserve judgment about him until I see the product on the field. I think with Orgeron and Raymond on staff, they can be good collectively. I guess we'll find out Sept. 12th and again Sept. 18th if our defense will be any better.
Better question, why are you concerned? Why are dredging up LSU stuff from the interwebs? Are you worried? Maybe you should set down and talk about this with a professional.

Not to beat a dead horse and I understand what you are saying, but it's just not true. LSU was #9 in the country in time of possession. A&M was #122. A 7 minute difference in TOP per game. Our offense may not have been very good, but we did have long drives because we run the ball. There were times when we'd go 3 and out of course but rarely was the defense put in a position where they were gassed.
If Chavis' defense would have been on the field for 7 more minutes per game, do you think statistically his defense would have been #1?

Chavis sued us a-hole.
Other than that, we expect a contract to be followed. It's not "letting go", it's simply closing out the contract and following the terms precisely.
